Copying UM? There are a lot of college and pro teams that have similar flags. If UM was the only team in the country doing this, that would be copying them.

The more ways you can market your team the better. I would guess this flag will be on sale at the bookstore and other outlets.

Exactly, who cares if MSU is "copying" UM if it's a good idea that fans will enjoy. The #41 jersey is a cool idea and fans like it, so it only makes sense to find a way to display it more prominently in the stadium on gameday.

Hard to say. Maybe MSU was oversubscribed and they needed to drop a couple? Maybe it will be split up to add money to walk-ons or partial scholarship kids? Maybe nothing and they are saving it to bring in a mid-year transfer in January.
