Copying UM? There are a lot of college and pro teams that have similar flags. If UM was the only team in the country doing this, that would be copying them.

The more ways you can market your team the better. I would guess this flag will be on sale at the bookstore and other outlets.

Exactly, who cares if MSU is "copying" UM if it's a good idea that fans will enjoy. The #41 jersey is a cool idea and fans like it, so it only makes sense to find a way to display it more prominently in the stadium on gameday.

Give them credit. They invented the 3 sided track and apparently made a new rule that end-zones on practice fields are off-limits for actual practice.
