Unfortunately Tommy didn't play almost a quarter of the season due to all the blow outs, bad for him for this but was good for the team as a whole. Had Tommy played the second half of our games I'd say he's a shoe in, but i think he doesn't have the stats for the award.
His stats are very similar to Millers. I think Miller was a lock until the loss at USD. Now going 12-0 might be the difference between the 2.

Miller Stats:
Passing: 2340 Yards 74.2% completion 23TD's 1 INT Rushing: 370 yds 7 TD's

Tommy Stats:
Passing: 1980 Yards 68.7% completion 22TD's 1 INT Rushing: 640 yds 11 TD's
Thats insane considering how much of the season Tommy spent on the bench.
Herder listed the number of snaps each had played a few weeks ago on Twitter and it was almost identical.
That's interesting, I might try and find that.

Is it too cynical to think Miller will get it just because he's a Bison and everyone is so enamored with that program?
It's not cynical, it's accurate. Didn't Herder already say that's how he voted?
Yes, he did. They are both deserving to be sure. In just tired of the Bison getting all the shine. :?
Anyone named HERDer should have to recuse himself if a Bison is a candidate.

Who is denarius McGee a finalist?
Insert a gif of Anchorman reading from the teleprompter here.

Well they announce the Jerry Rice winner tomorrow (they only do the top 3 for the Buck and Payton) and I'm fairly confident a certain Cat will be rewarded for a tremendous season.

Tommy has reached legendary status in Montana, as we know. He's probably more respected by the fans over the hill than any MSU player in my lifetime. Vigen told me Tommy is a "too good to be true" kind of person. I know this isn't a character award, but I wonder if his legendary status and high character help him steal a few votes. When MSU plays a nationally televised game, the announcers really seem to go crazy for him, so I wouldn't be surprised if his reputation helps him out here. At least that's what I'm hoping for.

He might not be the best QB ever at MSU, but he'll still be at the top of a lot of fans' lists for their favorite Bobcat of all time. He has this mythical, magical Butte-ness about him that might just put him at the top of my list of all-time Bobcats.

And I think when he runs a 4.40 forty at his pro day, he’ll be even more legend.

So I'm guessing all the votes were tallied before Saturday's games? Too bad if so, because after Tommy's performance Saturday he should win by a landslide!

Is Tommy going to try his chances at the NFL?

Only one person knows the answer to that. All everyone else can do is speculate. We have one more game Friday to enjoy this amazing person, and I say that because that is the Bobcat mantra, religion almost....one game at a time.
I hope its 3 more games. Lets go Bobcats!

The State of Montana is Bobcat country.
missoula....still just 20 miles from Montana.
