Last year Scottre Humphrey had 114 yards at 8.1 yards per carry and three touchdowns in the season opener. I predict he'll have another 100+ yard game while Jordan Reed will get as many snaps as Mellott and this game will be secured by halftime. Bobcat fans will be singing (sigh) Sweet Caroline sometime in the third quarter and the travel team size limit keeps scorers in the game. 67-7 in a sleeper. Southern Utah may finish last or next to last in the UAC.

I won't make a prediction but I would really like to see the Defense pitch a near shutout. Only give up 1 or 2 scores.

They only gave up three scores last week! So, that is certainly attainable.

This is what I was thinking...I don't get this huge apprehension about the defense. They gave up 17pts and to an FBS team. As a defense you typically tell the offense we will keep them 21 and under. That's a heck of defense with today's offenses and the offensive minded rules. I give UTech one score against the back ups. Lots of young guys play in order to keep fresh legs limit injuries and give them valuable game experience. I even see some of the traveling freshman getting in this game. We scored 35 last week....we hang 50-60 in this one. We have a stable of backs and even with rotating them there is very little drop off. Depth is our friend this week......MSU rolls confidence continues to grow and we believe even more.

Second week in a row for a team with zero actual tape. We'll start off pretty basic on D and cautious on O until we see what they are doing. I predict the game thread to be throwing in towels and calling for heads in the first quarter.

The entire game thread will undoubtedly be panicking if MSU falls behind or doesn't score on its first couple of possessions, but to be fair there will only be one person calling loudly for the entire coaching staff to be terminated immediately in this scenario. My goal is to stay off the game thread and just enjoy the game this week, but we will see if that actually happens...

If Cats win out aren't they almost guaranteed at least the 2 seed. We will have beat the gris and ether SDSU or NDSU would have an FCS loss because they play each other. Somebody tell me if I am missing something.

Yes, 100%. If the Cats win out they are likely the #1 seed but worst case scenario they're #2. Already have an FBS win and will have gone undefeated with a tougher schedule than SDSU or NDSU - and as you already stated, will have beaten the only other team with a chance at #1 or #2 in Montana.

Correct. NDSU and SDSU can't go undefeated because they play each other. Each one has an FBS game this week, so even if NDSU and SDSU both win their FBS game, MSU finally has that same notch on their belt, so a 12-0 MSU squad is a top 1-2 seed over a 11-1 SDSU or 11-1 NDSU team.

That's thinking a long ways ahead but we finally got that FBS win I've been hankering for. But Cats will need a lot of improvement to win out.

Not sure I agree based on committees history. If they beat Colorado and OK State and only loss to each other and Cats FBS win is New Mexico I don't think Cats jump them.

I don't think a 12-0 team gets a 3 seed below any 11-1 team, but you may be right.

A 12-0 Bobcat team with an FBS win and at least 3 ranked wins, maybe 4 (Idaho; Sac State; UCD; Gris) absolutely gets a #1 or #2 seed over a 11-1 or 10-2 MVFC team. Now if either SDSU or NDSU wins their FBS game, then all bets are off, for now. But I think we get ahead of ourselves thinking 12-0. I am more in line with Coach "each week it is 1-0". But then I don't get excited at much.
