"the weather isn’t gonna affect NDSU one way or the other, just like it didn’t for SDSU last year, just like it didn’t for Sam Houston State when they came to Bozeman, just like it didn’t for western Carolina when they went to Missoula, etc the better team will win and the weather isn’t gonna be the reason the other teams loses."

The 2021 Sam Houston game was in Huntsville, TX.
They played at MSU one year in the 2010s on ESPN2 when I was living in Portland.

About 10 years ago SHSU came to Bozeman on a cool/cold evening and thumped us
You're right. They beat us in Huntsville in a 2011 playoff game 49-13, and in Bozeman in 2012 34-16. We got them in the 2021 playoff game 42-19. I was at all three and the 2021 game is in my top 5 of all-time 'Cat games.
We got revenge on the Bearkats in 21. Let's get revenge on the Bison in 23.

Well, my gut feeling is NDSU is going to win. 27-24. Having given my "gut feeling," I will now admit that my gut feeling has
been 100% wrong for every big game this season. So that should make me optimistic.

I expected and predicted the UM loss (but not drubbing) because I had a bad feeling, but I feel good about this one.

I've been thinking and analyzing this one all week. I cannot wait for this game. Finally, we have a good team coming to Bozeman. The atmosphere will be special. Pretty incredible to get the best school in FCS history at home in the playoffs. Unfortunately, I dont think the Cats stand a chance. The season and home winning streak comes to end this weekend.

Sold out playoff game against a team that has demolished us every time we’ve played them in their stadium or Frisco?

Yeah, I feel good. Win by 10.

I'll bet you a $50 donation to the charity of your choice, the Cats don't score fewer than 28 points.

I dont ever bet on Cat games. So, Im not going to start. But, win or lose how about we each donate $50 to the Indoor Practice Facility?

I don't call out peoples guesses. But you honestly believe this Cat team doesn't stand a chance? And what have you seen from NDSU to think their defense has any shot of holding us to 13? I just don't see it. :-k

Yeah, this is pretty silly. Drake actually moved the ball well early against the Bison and ran the ball surprisingly well, but some bad turnovers killed their drives. If NDSU brings the same run defense the Cats should run all over them. Not saying we win necessarily, but we should put up some points.

Ya. I was as down as anyone after that debacle in Missoula. But I've seen our body of work the last two seasons. We are still a very good football team. I just don't see how people can think this team at home in front of a packed crowd doesn't have a chance against NDSU. If our D steps up a bit and we actually tackle I don't see us losing.

Anyone know when NDSU is scheduled to get to town? I look at at FlightAware but the only flight arriving in Bozeman from Fargo today is a small private plane.

I would be surprised if we don't show up. We play SO much better at home. On the other hand we played close games on the road to SDSU and Idaho, both losses. I never dreamed in 100 years that we would go into Missoula and lay a total egg. I thought there was a chance that we could lose in a close affair, but if you had told me UM would beat us by 30 points I would've said you are nuts. That one game alone makes it very difficult for me to know what to expect from the Bobcats going forward. My hope is that the Cats rebound in a big way starting tomorrow afternoon!

That private plane only has 2 people on it and the 500 gallons of special gravy the bison consume at their pre game meal.

Matt Entz wasn't born last night, they've been practicing outside in cold weather all week.
They usually practice indoors when it’s cold. This could impact their practices because they aren’t used to it. Odd how they have practiced indoors since last October for two ate fall-winter weather seasons and seem noticeably softer on the field. I wonder when was the last time they played in the cold, on the road, with over 20,000 in the stands for the home team?

It’s imperative that MSU comes out hitting hard on defense and scoring on offense to see how NDSU reacts to it outside of a dome.

I think that take is reasonably okay. I have been negative since the Idaho loss. The team proved me vastly wrong against NAU, Eastern, and unfortunately um. I was actually quite positive and confident in the team heading into Cat/gris. Based on nothing but my wandering thoughts, I am worried that this team is reeling after complete debacles in Moscow and Missoula. I dont have any confidence in House or Garza to fix anything. If the Cats play to their potential, I think they could easily win. But, I dont think they will. I think this team is playing worst football than they were when they went to Brookings. I will be at the game. I will have a great time. And I will really enjoy the game because its a phenomenal program coming into Bozeman.

That was a scary interview in the paper with the OC about Chambers. NDSU fans ate it up. Somehow their relationship needs to be positive and
good so the "other quarterback" can help us win. Perhaps the HC needs to step into this. If we can't get some production from both quarterbacks,
they will probably wipe us off the field.

That team lost to McKay and Elon, i don’t think the cats were 50 points better than W&M think cats jumped out to a big lead right away and that made them abandon their running game. Could put as much blame on the weather as it being a late game for an east coast team as well.
