I don’t get all the negativity at this point. Sure…..Cat/Griz was a huge disappointment, but that’s 2-weeks ago. This version of the Bison isn’t nearly as good as their championship teams….and their fans clearly aren’t very confident based on what they are saying on Bisonville….and the fact that they returned some of their ticket allotment. I think the cats punch them in the mouth early and don’t look back. 37-24 Cats, with the last Bison touchdown in garbage time.

Ha, you obviously haven’t followed a game day thread. These guys get negative when we’re ahead by 40. Not kidding.

After NDSU wins Saturday cats won't make play offs next with this staff
What's a bet that you would pay off to back up this insanely moronic statement? Cats will be a top 10 team and on the short list to win the National Championship next year regardless of what happens Saturday and who's coaching. You never post here again?
Let's meet face to face and I will lost when I want

I am still trying to figure out the second half of his sentence?
Most likely a gris troll. A few dozen posts over a decade plus and all of them negative on the Bobcats. Just trying to get him to bet on whether the Cats win on Saturday or make the playoffs next year and to never post again if either happen, similar to go scats go.
I know it has been quite a while since I saw that name.

I can’t wait to get to the game. Too much time to talk and think.

Can’t wait to be there Saturday and with this opponent there won’t be any false inspiration needed to be amped as a crowd and see how NDSU handles a December game outside. Expected high is 35 and game will end in the 20s. Hopefully a little wind, too.

MSU can end the dynasty.

Matt Entz wasn't born last night, they've been practicing outside in cold weather all week.

While registering my vehicles the assessor stated "I have had both Cat and Griz students and alums work for me and the Griz end up working under the direction of the Cats."

They usually practice indoors when it’s cold. This could impact their practices because they aren’t used to it. Odd how they have practiced indoors since last October for two ate fall-winter weather seasons and seem noticeably softer on the field. I wonder when was the last time they played in the cold, on the road, with over 20,000 in the stands for the home team?

It’s imperative that MSU comes out hitting hard on defense and scoring on offense to see how NDSU reacts to it outside of a dome.

the weather isn’t gonna affect NDSU one way or the other, just like it didn’t for SDSU last year, just like it didn’t for Sam Houston State when they came to Bozeman, just like it didn’t for western Carolina when they went to Missoula, etc the better team will win and the weather isn’t gonna be the reason the other teams loses.

Well, we literally do not know this at all as it is impossible to calculate what impact practicing outdoors all week and the weather on Saturday has on them. What we do know is that playing a game outdoors in cold weather will be a new experience for them, playing in front of 20,000 on the road will be new for them, and I’m as interested in being at this game and seeing how it plays out in person since last year’s Cat-Gris and the SDSU semi-final in 2021.

I’ve been to COLD playoff games in both Missoula and Bozeman and those UM teams of the mid-90s would just jump on teams early and from my seats directly behind the visiting bench I talked to the players of Troy State and Steph F. Austin and all they wanted to do was go home and get warm. Unless they were lying to me about how cold and miserable it was down three scores early, I suppose.

Hard for me to believe a team from ND - even one that plays inside - will be vulnerable to cold weather. And it's supposed to be around 30 degrees. Hardly much of a cold day.

About 10 years ago SHSU came to Bozeman on a cool/cold evening and thumped us

I do warmly (pun intended) remember when Coastal Carolina went to Missoula in 2013 and the weather was a bitter cold minus 5. Everyone thought CC would wilt. They spanked the frizz 42-35. I think the weather factor is overblown (pun intended).

You're right. They beat us in Huntsville in a 2011 playoff game 49-13, and in Bozeman in 2012 34-16. We got them in the 2021 playoff game 42-19. I was at all three and the 2021 game is in my top 5 of all-time 'Cat games.

Nobody in their right mind thinks any team, least of all NDSU, would be much affected by a 30-degree day.

I think NDSUs offense will have no problem going up and down the field

I’m worried about NDSUs defense from stopping MSU

I agree. Lots of weapons and Miller is sharp.

MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Coastal Carolina was smart and dressed for the weather. Plus they utilized their heaters and coats when they were standing on the sidelines and got warm and dry. Shock started sitting in on the Montana players who thought they were too tough for sleeves and heaters. They got tight and slow and got beat.
Zach Zenner did the same thing on South Dakota State vs Montana State in the blizzard. When he wasn’t playing he stood in front of the heater someone else put a coat on him it blew him dry and warm and he was loose every time he came in.
