Re: Injury updates
I know it's not Bobcat related, but any update on the Chain Gang guy that banged against the wall in the Gris vs NAU game?

Re: Injury updates
I thought I remember hearing the announcers mention Scottre had been injured?

Re: Injury updates
The gentleman who was clobbered on the sidelines was hit so hard he was knocked unconscious. They said he hit the padding on the sidelines against the stands with such force it sounded like a muffled gun shot. His scalp split open on the back of his head so it looked pretty bad. I believe the guy spent the night in the hospital and is in " concussion protocol"for a while no doubt. Could have been worse, but he did not expire.
On another note, I believe Danny U will be out for the 1st half against PSU for the targeting ejection. No idea on other possible injuries.

Re: Injury updates
Didn't appear hurt to me, he was in full uniform on the sidelines all game and was celebrating with the team after scores.

Once upon a time, I recall the league reviews targeting calls on Sunday or Monday to make sure it was the right call. Does anyone know if that is still the case?Bobcatsinmso wrote: ↑Sun Sep 24, 2023 5:15 pmOn another note, I believe Danny U will be out for the 1st half against PSU for the targeting ejection. Re: Injury updates
Not sure there was a no call in Idaho game. Sac guy hit Idaho QB as he slid, helmet to helmet and knocked his head off turf. They didn't even review it.exppi wrote: ↑Sun Sep 24, 2023 5:36 pmOnce upon a time, I recall the league reviews targeting calls on Sunday or Monday to make sure it was the right call. Re: Injury updates
He was noticeably limping after his last run early in the game. Never came back in. Elliot became the third string running back after that, but he only got one carry in the first half.

Good to hear that the gentleman is ok. That looked very bad on TV.Bobcatsinmso wrote: ↑Sun Sep 24, 2023 5:15 pmThe gentleman who was clobbered on the sidelines was hit so hard he was knocked unconscious. Re: Injury updates
I might have missed something but what's up with Garret Coon? Injured or just buried on the depth chart?
Great time to be a BOBCAT!

Re: Injury updates
Buried on the depth chart I think. He had a few carries very late against Stetson and traveled to Ogden but didn't play. Elijah Elliott at RB4 got the last of the carries.

Re: Injury updates
Let's just say a leg injury, not super serious. We don't need to get into exact details on some of these things.

Re: Injury updates
This kind of thing is so annoying. Just say what it is or don’t. Either you know what it is and won’t say or you don’t actually know anything. Obviously it’s a leg injury, he was limping on the sideline. No one is asking for his exact medical history, but if you do know, why not just say ankle, knee, foot, hip, etc. instead of just posting for clout?

Re: Injury updates
Defensive players (secondary tacklers usually) will tackle the injured areas if they know about it. Like how boxers keep punching their opponent where they know they’re experiencing pain. This is especially true along the OL and DL. That’s one reason I’ve been told for not being specific.GoodTimesAllTheTime wrote: ↑Tue Sep 26, 2023 2:02 pmThis kind of thing is so annoying. Re: Injury updates
I don’t buy that at all. Portland State or anyone else isn’t scouring the message boards to find out how and where to tackle the Cats 3rd string running back. Maybe, maybe I could see how that logic applies to someone like Tommy who teams have to game plan for, but let’s not get carried away.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 26, 2023 2:35 pmDefensive players (secondary tacklers usually) will tackle the injured areas if they know about it.
