recruiting updates
I know the coaches did some recruiting over the bye week. Anybody have some recruiting updates on Montana kids and beyond?

Re: recruiting updates
Expect a bunch of USC transfers next year. They have too much talent and they can't all play!barechestcat wrote:I know the coaches did some recruiting over the bye week. Anybody have some recruiting updates on Montana kids and beyond?

Do you mean Eric Fisher? He was the kicker for West.profisme wrote:He might want to wipe it up before it stains something. By the way, Selle and few others were on the sideline before the game talking with Jeff Fisher and a couple others. I hope they are planning on coming to the Cat/Griz game as well and being on our sideline, not the Griz's.

Offensively the Cats are looking for a qb, 2 linemen and 4 wideouts. I don't have any answers for the defense yet, but as a team they are not going to take as many kids this year. That is due to the fact that the defense is very young now. The receivers will more than likely(read "preferred") be older players. In state they are really interested in 3 kids on offense right now. Obviously, Selle has been offered and was at the game on Saturday. Glendive has a lineman of interest as well.

There is a BIG boy playing for Stanford (MT) this year (6' 4or5, 295-305). I don't know his name, but he sounds like a good O-lineman to me! Anyone know who I am talking about?
Nevermind - found him on maxpreps.com

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

Deegan is not that good. He doesn't have very good feet, just the size. The Person kid from Glendive is very good. Have to get Verlanic from Drummond. Heard the coaches like Wells from Billings West and one of their DBs. Libby has a good defensive lineman.

Are the coaches looking at Wells as a LB or RB? They are probably looking at Eli Johnson or Mike Rider as the DB from West. I think they also need to look at getting Shawn Harcharik as a LB as well. He is huge Cat fan and he is an excellent tackler.Grizcat wrote:Deegan is not that good. He doesn't have very good feet, just the size. The Person kid from Glendive is very good. Kramer does a great job convincing kids to walk-on and earn a scholarship. Maybe this is what is in store for these kids. Two of our stars on defense are former walk-ons and have earned full rides. Force and Daly.longhorn_22 wrote:Are the coaches looking at Wells as a LB or RB? They are probably looking at Eli Johnson or Mike Rider as the DB from West.
