San Francisco visitor suggestions

I tend to get a fair number of requests from people asking for my insights on things to see and do while in SF, so I've finally put a little bit of time into compiling an initial list. I will most likely grow this in time and add more specific lists, but for now, this is a solid start. So if anyone is interested (particularly if you are planning to be an SF tourist anytime soon), here's my list:

Fair enough! Things are still in the air as we are debating California, the Vegas thing, Boston, etc. We'll let you know.

It is a bit of a drive, but the Muir Woods is awesome. A walk/hike along a redwood grove is great. I would skip it only if your trip included going on to either Sequoia, Yosemite, or Redwoods NP.

Yeah, I agree. Excellent point. Muir Woods is definitely worth the time. At some point I will probably do a "best outdoor spots" and "best for kids" posts ... Muir Woods probably makes both of those lists for the Bay Area.

The Anchor Steam tour is awesome -- I've done it about 10 times, and it never gets old. They also pour enough beer to get you very tipsy ... all for free. Just be sure to book it early, as it's really hard to get in last minute. And let me know if you decide to book it, as I may ask you to add one for me as well. I work a short walk from there.

Hmm...I guess you're right. When I saw the "SF" I was just automatically saying San Fran in my mind. Oops.
