HA, admit it. You would trade our football record since 1995 for yours in a heart beat. It's just more of the cats being happy beating the GRIZ and the GRIZ being happy playing for a National Championship.STREETCAT wrote:

Ok... let me rephrase that. I think ISU is a VERY good team that has yet to play up to their full potential. I can't find their total yearly defensive stats, however, I do know they stopped us on several critical drives and didn't exactly allow us a ton of rushing yards (113) and are holding opponents to 112 YPG avg rushing. Their pass defense is struggling a bit and this could be a detriment with Swogger at QB. I'm not holding my breath either, all I'm saying is I think it will be a much closer game than most think, shootout or not.

Football is not a game but a religion, a metaphysical island of fundamental truth in a highly verbalized, disguised society, a throwback of 30,000 generations of anthropological time. ~Arnold Mandell

Is that supposed to be smack from streetcat? I mean, being to the NC 5 times in the past 10 years happens to be pretty impressive.Eastcoastgriz wrote:HA, admit it. There's 119 DI-AA teams. 118 of them would happily trade records with the Griz. Enough said about that attempted smack.JahGriz wrote:Is that supposed to be smack from streetcat? Well right now there are 4 teams in the top 25 with a better record. I don't think they would trade you.GrizinWashington wrote:There's 119 DI-AA teams. 118 of them would happily trade records with the Griz. actually now it is last 10 years 4 appearances and one victory in the nc game. if you want to use last 10 years you must not include the 1995 team ihoJahGriz wrote:Is that supposed to be smack from streetcat? No i wouldnt for the simple fact that I do not think your father should buy you a spot on the team. I would rather we get players and our record from good smash mouth talentEastcoastgriz wrote:HA, admit it. You would trade our football record since 1995 for yours in a heart beat. True HB. However the point is still valid. 4 of 10 years to the NC game is something, I think most, if not all I-AA teams would have liked to have accomplished in recent year.sHell's Bells wrote:actually now it is last 10 years 4 appearances and one victory in the nc game. if you want to use last 10 years you must not include the 1995 team ihoJahGriz wrote:Is that supposed to be smack from streetcat? C'mon Horn, keep up! Streetcat was attempting to make smack about our recent NC history. That's the record we're talking about. (although with the country's #1 GPI and Sagarin, I have little doubt that just about everyone would trade records with the Griz for this year as well)longhorn_22 wrote:Well right now there are 4 teams in the top 25 with a better record. Man that gets me pumped up just thinking of that scenario! One game at a time, but I LIKE OUR CHANCES. Wouldn't that be something?STREETCAT wrote:Come November 18 we will once again remind griz fans that the CATS ARE the top team in Montana. We will start playing ours November 25th. All the msu bandwagon fans will have another opportunity to spend Thanksgiving weekend with their families.Cledus wrote:Live in the present, Bundy. No, that wasn't in complete dominating fashion like the 3 beat downs MSU has put to UM over the last 4 years. MSU is clearly the best football team in the state and has bragging rights. I guess that is why we hold the Trophy tooGrizinWashington wrote:Please explain to me why it's not a valid argument. Because it's a different sport? If so, I've got plenty of college football examples to give you. Either way, you'd be hard-pressed to convince me (or more importantly the selection committee) that if the cats should find a way to beat the Griz this year, that they're the better team. Better on that one day, perhaps. But better? Uh uh.BobcatOninetails wrote:Is that really supposed to be an argument? Apples and oranges man. You mentioned drawing a picture. You might want to for your own good. But draw it large, because it's all about the BIG picture. The Griz understand that.
In fact, let's bottom line this: Eastern beat MSU. Is Eastern better than MSU this season?

Speaking of the trophy it was made by a few griz fans i know . They figured it was going to be around missoula for a while. this was 4 years ago and guess where it has been for 3 of the 4.CARDIAC_CATS wrote:No, that wasn't in complete dominating fashion like the 3 beat downs MSU has put to UM over the last 4 years. Evidently 2004 didn't happen in Billings, although if I had been a cat fan then, I would want to forget it too.Cledus wrote:The Cats one the last heads up meeting. It's that simple. In fact, they won the last two.
It's widely accepted you retain a title until you're defeated. Evidently, it's widely accepted everywhere except in Missoula.
You can go on ad nauseam about playoffs, about national rankings, blahblahblah (which you most certainly will, because it's what all you jackasses do). I can't argue with any of that. It's all true. However, Uncle Denny can't buy off the Cats when it comes game time.
The Cats are the best team in the state and have proved it on the field.
To steal a line from GW, if you still don't understand then maybe I can draw a picture for you.
