Junior Adams

Post by profisme » Thu Oct 19, 2006 2:53 pm

Does anyone have a clip of Junior Adams' punt returns for touchdowns in the 2001 season? I was arguing with a friend about who was a better punt returner, Junior or Corey Smith. He seems to think it was Smith. I told him that although Smith was fast, Junior was quick and had amazing moves. Any help would be appreciated.

That's like trying to pick your favorite child. They were both studs and I believe that Junior mentored Cory on the fine art of returns.

I'm partial to Junior. Even though he endeared himself to my heart forever with his streak breaking catch in the winter wonderland game we call Cat/Griz. I couldn't have cared how cold it was that day, that catch warmed me for the rest of the year. I grow a smile everytime I think about it.

Family is family forever, until they become a Griz fan.

As much as I hate to say it, that catch couldn't have been timed any better. One of my least favorite plays as a Griz fan. :?

The catch was unforgetable. Cory's opening kickoff return the very next year still gives me goosebumps. If you have a copy of The Line available I recommend that you watch it.

I do own a copy and watch faithfully again and again. My wife just rolls her eyes when she heads downstairs only to find me in front of the tube with "The Line" playing.

I get the same looks but I don't care. I could watch it over and over. As a matter of fact I may go watch it now. 8)
