Heringer out for the season?

This doesn't sound good at all for her. Jenny Heringer is a really good player and a really good person and I hope she recovers quickly. The bit of positive light that could come out of this situation is that there's certainly more depth on this year's team than there was last year, so it might not be as bad as thought. But she's a good player and it could hurt the women's basketball team. However, it's much more important that she recovers from this condition.

According to today's Gazette, she's out for the year.

Bad deal, she is a huge asset to the Lady...er...CATS woman's program.

Best wishes to Jenny on a speedy recovery. I know that everyone in Bobcat Nation feels the same.

I spoke to one of her family members and they confirmed that she will red shirt this year. It sounds like Jenny is happy to get a chance to completely heal this year (she played hurt last season). I for one would rather have Jenny in her fifth year than second year coming off of surgery.

Agreed, I hope the recovery goes well for her and she is able to come back stronger than ever next year.

Jenny is a great person and great player. I think she will come back next year and proceed to be one of the better players to come through MSU. This same kind of thing happened to her in high school. She blew her knee out freshman year and in her 3 years playing was outstanding. I can see that happening here too!
