Wow, we got called out and it took me this long to see it. 8)

Yes magoo, there are people that are getting off topic and maybe talking smack on different threads. If you'll look around we try to move things that need it, split topics when possible and warn posters if they continue to talk smack. Sorry if it isn't enough, but please remember that we are three guys with full time jobs and families.

One thing for people to remember, and this isn't really directed at you Magoo, is that Cat fans are just as much at fault as Griz fans. I've often made the referrence to having to "babysit" this place. I say this because a thread will degenerate by someone making a comment, then ten other people seeing it as smack or dumb and piling on returning the smack or attacking the poster. As soon as a mod says something, we get a five year old response of "The Griz fan started it!"

I guess what I am trying to say is, if this really bugs people so much, don't promote it yourselves. If someone posts smack or off topic banter meant to incite on a thread, rather than returning it and taking the thread further downhill, ignore it and send a pm to the mods about it so we can take action on one post rather than ending up ruining a whole thead because we didn't see it before twenty back and forths that were completely off topic.

Griz Dude wrote:I am not a Bobby Hauck fan, as most of you know. But the fact is, after the Griz defeated the only other real contender in the Sky, PSU, last week, they will roll through the league undefeated. They have too much depth, and too many playmakers for any other teams to beat them. Save for PSU, Weber, and Montana, there are no other teams who play defense. And, Weber may not score a point on either PSU and Montana, because their offense is so inept.

The facts are there for any knowledgeable fan to see. The Sky is a two-team conference this year.
Why is this considered smack?

A couple of Matt D quotes;

"With a few of the predicted Big Sky contenders going through tough times, the Grizzlies and Vikings had already emerged as the top two teams in the conference"

"But the potential lasting significance of the win is even more important. The Grizzlies will be heavy favorites in road dates against Eastern Washington, Weber State and Northern Colorado, and any remaining tests come in the friendly confines of Washington-Grizzly Stadium. That slate should help the Grizzlies finish with at least a 9-2 mark, which should also have them in great position for a playoff seed and potential run in the postseason."

Is this smack too?

I understand completely. I'm not saying don't defend your team, I'm just saying that if doing so is going off the topic of the thread, then you forfeit all rights to complain about a thread going off-topic or devolving into smack.

I don't see how anyone can really disagree with what Griz Dude wrote - honestly. I mean, we Cat fans can really HOPE that what was written is not the case, but let's be honest - nobody is playing as well as the griz right now. If the griz lose before Cat/Griz, it will be because they beat themselves. And heck, they gave it their best shot at PSU with 5 TO's and look how that turned out.

Montana State IS what "they" think Montana is.
