Re: Natty TV ratings
Does anyone know the FCS record?
MSU - 17 team National Champions (most recent 2025); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

The positive word of mouth will get a few more viewers watching the replay, too.

Re: Natty TV ratings
I thought the previous record for any FCS game was 2.8 million for the "Super Brawl", but that was on ABC. 3 million is incredibly impressive for an FCS game on ESPN! So we set the record twice in the same season? We have arrived!
Edit: welp it looks like 2.3 was the official average... Still incredibly impressive

3 million watched the game. How many more watched The Hurdle, The Juke, The Block, The Touchdown? Lots of great exposure!

2.3 Million average watched the game... Many more dipped in and out during the game. You are right, the social media clips are garnering even more views on this game. I wouldn't be surprised if a total of 10 million people set eyes on this game through various forms of media. It's crazy amounts of exposure for the school and the program!coloradocat wrote: ↑Thu Jan 08, 2026 4:40 pm3 million watched the game. Just walking through the airports in ATL and SEA on the way back to MT, there were dozens of random people that stopped us and commented on our game after seeing us dressed in Cats gear. One guy was a Middle Tennessee fan and he said he was jealous of our program, saying the Montanas are up there with Oregon and Boise state for game day atmospheres. He said he really wants to go to a MSU game one day. We have now entered a new hemisphere when it comes to name recognition. Our program has arrived!

Re: Natty TV ratings
Both my boss and a good buddy, neither of whom is a fan nor had a reason to watch, tuned in. My boss slacked me while traveling home on Tuesday to check in and tell me what an incredible game it was. My buddy called to make sure I didn't have a stroke.BlueAndGoldNation wrote: ↑Thu Jan 08, 2026 4:50 pm2.3 Million average watched the game... Many more dipped in and out during the game. I'm not usually one to wear Cat stuff a lot when I travel. Side note, its funny how many people that you run into out of state that love MAP Brewing because I have worn a MAP sweatshirt a few times.
That said, I have bought some National Championship gear preorder and with all the exposure and social media views this game has got I will 100% be wearing it everywhere I travel over the next year!!!

My boss, who lives in Oklahoma, texted me that it was the most excitng game he'd seen in a very long time. I told him that I would be back to work on Wednesday but after Monday night I would be pretty much worthless to get anything done:) He told me he understood!

Re: Natty TV ratings
I’m interested in how many times the Replay has been watched on ESPN. Most rewatched FCS game ever??
I think I’ve got 4 under my belt now.

I think I heard it was the 3rd most watched. I can’t recall who and what number 1 was. Sorry.

It was during the Covid Year - So makes some sense viewership was up - nothing else to do!

Am i the only one disappointed with these numbers? I hoped they would be in the 4 to 5 million range after the semi-final had such big numbers.

Not really disappointed, I was wondering though if the 2.3 million number includes streaming services or only those who watched on the traditional TV broadcast. I guarantee that this is the most watched FCS game after the fact with all the highlight clips that were posted on social media and YouTube.
