Lamson, minus Oregon:

214/298, 72%, 2694 yds, 9.0 YPA, 24 TD, 8.1 TD%, 3 INT, 1.5 INT%, 153 carries, 705 yds, 4.6 YPC, 14 TD (3399 total yds; 38 total TD)

Ah Yat, minus Central Washington:

311/446, 70%, 3820 yds, 8.6 YPA, 31 TD, 7.0 TD%, 7 INT, 1.6 INT%, 63 carries, 71 yds, 1.1 YPC, 8 TD (3891 total yds; 39 total TD)
Imagine if Lamson had to play more of those 4th quarters what his numbers would be. Blowing teams out and resting these guys is what we want but numbers don’t tell the whole story here of how great of a season Lamson has had. One more game!

Don’t tell that to griz fans. For some reason they are convinced our starters we always in late in the 4th quarter of blowouts. Of course that’s not true but they believe it really really hard!

Meanwhile they’ll run gimmick plays like stature of liberty or wide receiver passes with 2 td+ leads late in the 4th and that’s just “the griz offense being BACK BABY!”

I think our starters played late into the 4th in only one blowout—YESTERDAY’S! 🤣

I wanted to see 2nd string offense yesterday and let the offense continue to score.

I think there’s a strong argument he already is. This is the first time since probably Prukop that we’ve had an actual QB for an entire season. His stats this year are insane from an efficiency standpoint.

This is what has been missing from the program for the better part of a decade - a true QB, not just an athlete we tried to turn into a qb. He makes the occasional throw that is a head scratcher, but to have 72% completion and only 3 picks all year is insane, with about 3k in passing yards.

In fairness, this is about exactly what Tommy did last year.

And Tommy restrained himself in the running game last year in order to stay healthy. But he could be so explosive with his legs when necessary (e.g. EW last year).

Just looked because I didn’t know his numbers off the top of my head. And true, but his completion percentage was 5% lower. And Mellot didn’t have the arm to make the same type of throws Lamson does. Lamson, likewise, didn’t have the running ability. Which was kind of my point. Either way, it’s a good problem to have
