He's in Year 2 of a 5-year contract and the buyout to fire him after this season would be $2.7 million. Seems unlikely they'd want to pay that, so I'd guess he's safe for at least another year after this one. The buyout drops to $2 million after Year 3 of the contract and then $1 million after Year 4.

It’s Nevada. He is fine. That program will take years to rebuild. He literally said he is going to local businesses with coffee and donuts to try and get people to the games. Thats a tough way to get support.


The bigger takeaway here is how special both MSU and um are in terms of support.
