I want to get this out there before camp starts. I think Wilson is going to be the breakout player. I think he fits what Sperbeck is installing really well and his speed and running ability are going to set him apart. It’s going to be a good battle in camp against Duchien and Lamson but I think he’s a better passer than Lamson and a better runner than Duchien. I think Warren is going to make good progress in camp and will push for the backup role as the season progresses.

If Lamson can get back to throwing the ball like he did in high school, then he’s got a good shot. I don’t know what happened to him in college but his accuracy has been poor.

But I think it’ll be Wilson and I think he’s going to be a top three quarterback in the BSC and will lead all BSC quarterbacks in rushing yards.

I’m not too well versed on the current BSC QB’s, but I’d personally be concerned if Wilson runs a significant amount. He appeared to be real skinny when I saw him last season.

I really hope your right. I think if Wilson takes the next step he has the highest ceiling imho. Lamson will take snaps, especially in the red zone similar to Chambers but Chance has the tools to be a lethal weapon for the Cats offense.

I was eating lunch yesterday and a handful of players came in...Wilson being one of them. He looks like he's bigger. Not big of course but he looks like he's been working hard in the weight room, and probably maturing physically as well. Jefferson was with him. He's a large human!

Yeah, not Wilson but I saw Hunter Sharbono yesterday at lunch. Large human too.

I think you’re right about Wilson. I have a hard time believing he’s only 180. I’d guess 190-195.

When it comes to getting hit frequently, almost always.

In terms of physics this is true when everything is controlled. However, small QBs actually get hurt with less regularity (and are therefore more durable? No.) than big QBs. This is probably because small QBs are more wary of being hurt.

I'll leave you with this quote from NFL Hall of Fame QB Fran Tarkenton, who held every major NFL career passing record for longer than any QB in NFL history and didn't miss a game due to injury until his 17th season. He was 6'0" and weighed 190 pounds, according to PFR. I have a hard time believing he weighed 190 pounds. I would guess 180. Maybe the preacher's son was hiding a beer belly under his jersey.

“I wasn’t the biggest, strongest or fastest guy,” Fran told NFL Films, so all that scrambling “was borne out of self-preservation."

Tarkenton never went out looking to make contact like a lot of running QBs do these days. He operated more like what you say Mellott doing this past season. Get some yards and get out of bounds or get down. I recall Tarkenton saying by scrambling he enabled himself to be tackled going with the contact and that reduced the impact of the hit. I'm surprised QBs don't adopt this style. Reminds me a little of Kareem's skyhook. It's very effective but hardly ever imitated.
