Ok I feel out of the loop. Who is this dude, and why is he famous? I've gathered he went to MSU but nothing else

He is also out there repping the MSU football brand around the country on every TV program, podcast, and radio broadcast I've seen or heard him on. He is a proud Bobcat alum and player who just doesn't talk about the Cats, you can see him on the sidelines at the games, even though he doesn't live in Bozeman anymore. I even talked with him down in Frisco. He wasn't a star player for the Cats but he was a glue guy that was awesome for team morale and camaraderie, Choate even mentioned that once. That young man is a fun person, living his best life, and is a great ambassador for MSU.

He also was putting out YouTube videos that made you really really wish you and been a football player with access to a surf boat on flathead every summer. Let's just say you could start and finish a Hotties thread with the fairer sex of the boat occupants.

Particularly impressive since it’s his first four years of his first time ever as a head coach! I’m glad he’s the Cats coach and hope we keep him a while.

I am completely fine with only getting one stupidly late start this season. And its not in PST when the Cats would have a short turn around to play the next game because they don't get home till Sunday morning like its been the last 2 seasons.

It will be interesting to see how the road teams do on Friday night. Idaho will have a short week going to Walkup but the griz luck out in that they will be coming off a glorified scrimmage before heading to Sac.

That Sac/gris game is interesting. Both of those teams are really a complete unknown with all the transfers. They could challenge to win the conference, or be middle of the pack. My one gris fan who is realistic most of the time is really dubious. He felt like going and signing multiple O-line transfers after spring ball is a seriously bad sign. I kinda agree.

Before anyone freaks out about the caption saying‘Montana’ keep in mind we were Montana State College and UM was Montana State University back then.

Someone needs to figure out the all time series based on school name.
MSU would have a big lead over MSC and UM.

Could just be confirmation of Sac St going FBS independent. Could be the Big Sky getting ahead of potentially losing both Sac and Davis by adding SUU back.

I’d definitely agree with either one of those points. UCD David has elevated their media game exponentially and looks like they even had a uniform change. So I imagine they are prepping for an announcement.

With Sac State moving to FBS and UC Davis football seemingly on their way to the Mountain West sooner rather than later, I'd love to see the Big Sky dump all three California schools and go to a 9-team conference with a fully round robin 8-game conference schedule each year.

But I doubt that will happen and I think it's likely that one or both of the Utah schools is going to end up joining the Big Sky as a full member at some point to help replace Sac State's impending departure. I'm guessing the announcement Sam is teasing will be Sac State officially leaving the Big Sky after this season to go FBS.

I believe the FCS is going to a 12 game schedule in another year or two so a 10 team conference would be perfect.
