Junior Bergen goes #252 to the 49ers. I think that's a pretty good pick for his skills as a return man.

The draft is over now, no draft pick for Wehr so we'll have to see where he and Brody go as UDFAs or if any other MSU guys get a shot somewhere!

I wouldn't be too disappointed. In one very important way it can actually be better to be a UDFA signing than to be drafted, in that the player has some level of say into which team they go to if they have multiple offers. It's always cool to see your name pop up on the draft coverage but MSU has had plenty of guys make NFL rosters without being drafted.nanacat wrote: ↑Sat Apr 26, 2025 8:43 pmMe three! Re: Pro Day and Draft Prospects
The draft ended 5 hours ago. The guys that are wanted generally get signed within a couple hours, usually much quicker than that. That's not to say it's over but it's not a good sign that he doesn't even have a mini-camp invite yet. There's still hope but it's fading.MSU01 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 26, 2025 9:32 pmI wouldn't be too disappointed. Or is it possible he has multiple teams and is negotiating best option? Would be very surprising to not get at least an invitecoloradocat wrote: ↑Sat Apr 26, 2025 10:06 pmThe draft ended 5 hours ago. I was not surprised that Wehr wasn't drafted (thought he had a 30-40% chance) but I am very surprised he hasn't already signed as a UDFA. I would be very surprised and disappointed if he doesn't sign a 90 man roster deal somewhere. A little surprised (though less so) that right now all Grebe has is a tryout.coloradocat wrote: ↑Sat Apr 26, 2025 10:06 pmThe draft ended 5 hours ago. Really surprised by the G5 numbers the last two years. Obviously might change the next couple of years, but doesn't seem like the FCS to G5 transition really benefits players on going to the NFL.

Vikings looking at Grebe primarily as a linebackerTravelingcat wrote: ↑Sat Apr 26, 2025 11:07 pmI was not surprised that Wehr wasn't drafted (thought he had a 30-40% chance) but I am very surprised he hasn't already signed as a UDFA. Re: Pro Day and Draft Prospects
My guess on Wehr is that they think he’s too small to hold up
at guard, and has no experience at center. They tend to like the guys further down the depth chart to be able to play multiple positions, and my guess is they don’t think he can. It’s too bad, I think if given a chance he would prove them wrong, but it’s hard to even get a chance.

What's crazy is how alot of these guys that left didn't improve their draft stock. You can't tell me that if a guy like Valdez stays here and dominates he's not going to at least get a UDFA contract? Sure he gained more NIL money. But maybe he dominates and gets a natty and gets drafted if he stays. Same for Rush.

It’s all hypothetical. But I think if they stay here, put up big number, 1st team all American and all that…. Probably a good chance they actually get drafted.
Troy and Tommy have proven that you can get drafted staying at Montana State.

And then on the other end is Cam Ward. He's not going #1 if he stays at IW.mslacatfan wrote: ↑Sun Apr 27, 2025 7:57 pmAbsolutely.lutecat wrote: ↑Sun Apr 27, 2025 7:26 pmWhat's crazy is how alot of these guys that left didn't improve their draft stock.
