Gotta love it…

Pictures are posted of an absolutely beautiful indoor practice facility, which is nearly complete.

First comment- “not enough windows!”

Seemed more of a question on why and not a comment there were not enough.
Since nobody has actually answered the question yet, I'd guess it's largely to keep costs down. More windows means more heat loss in cold weather and higher utility bills to heat that large of a space.
...and the cost of the windows themselves.
What about if they had fpv drone races in there? Windows might cause thermal updrafts and just send the drones crashing everywhere.
I'm still trying to figure out why they didn't put in a retractable roof! Then, they could have included the natural elements, like wind, rain, snow, heat, sun, and cold into practices. Just crazy they didn't think ahead.

Glad to see my windows question stirred the pot. Just thought they’d take advantage of the natural light and beauty of bozeman? But how dare I question anything of sorts. Leave it to the professionals here to put me in my place.

It’s my understanding the indoor facility is a prefabricated structure, not a more expensive custom build so I don’t think there is a lot of wiggle room for customization to take advantage of the views. Eventually there may be some type of scoreboard mounted on the south wall. I, like Common Cat, like a lot of natural lighting as well. That being said, it’s looking awesome and I can’t wait to see the final product. Then we can move our attention to the north end zone ‘Touchdown Terrace’ cabana and seating project.

It looks like the windows on the ends are big. Maybe can't see though them.

On the other hand do we really want university funds paying to clean enough windows to give practicing players a great view?

I’m just disappointed nobody consulted season ticket holders in row 31 and higher of section 116 about the view shed when building the practice facility. There goes the view of the Gallatin Range. Oh well. 8)

I'm in 121 and waiting for the eastside renovations to block my view of the Bridgers. MSU should start all over and excavate the field 100 feet underground.

I guess then we could get 'The Pitt Training Facility' or 'Pita Pit' to be the new named sponsor of the stadium.

The BAC should have been underground, then the players stand on a platform that raises up thru the dry ice cloud while intro music plays. Once at ground level they run out behind the rodeo team.

Ooooh we could still do that. The captains come up in front of the BAC and as they do the doors open up behind them and the rest of the team is there to walk out behind them.

You guys aren't thinking big enough, I say MSU builds the world's first completely underground football stadium with tunnel entrances from all four sides of the field. Put a parking lot at ground level and you could charge thousands for fans to have a reserved parking spot at (above) the 50-yard line.

Brad Pitt could make Legends of the Fall II and base it on Bobcat football. Who needs a marketing department when you have BobcatNation doing all the work?

Would the endzone tunnel be called the Sonny Holland Tunnel?

Could we make the parking lot be a retractable roof, then the whole stadium could fly to where we are playing and play every game in Bobcat stadium. Of course we would have to serve beer, because you wouldn't be able to leave at halftime.
