The Rodeo Team rideout is one of the very best traditions in college football. I just wish the lead horse would be carrying a National Champions banner, darn it!

25 degrees is "EXTREME WEATHER?" TO watch a parade? GIVE ME A BREAK! What a bunch of weenies! That's a terrible inconvenience to lots of groups including the MSU Rodeo Team.

Agree! That completely sucks! But weather like that shuts those places down that aren’t use to snow and cold..

They were literally spraying the roads with something 5 days ahead of time in Dallas expecting a storm during the championship game.

Yeah, remember how 8 days of below freezing weather in Texas in 2021 cost hundreds of billions of dollars when power generation sources weren't winterized?

No snowplows, no cold weather building codes, no place to put shoveled snow, etc...for people that aren't used to dealing with winter conditions, mid 20s & snow can be a lot to handle, especially when it involved high security events with a lot of people.

It would be cool to be a part of a historical event but I wonder how big of a deal the parade is. I’m not a big Inauguration Day fan. It’s pretty boring for me. I wonder if the rodeo team is very bummed out about this. I don’t think it’s anything they were lobbying to do. I’m sure it’s fun for a bunch of college kids to go on an all expenses paid road trip, but it might’ve come on such short notice that it would cause some problems for them. Were both of the teams sending all their members or was it just the ones that could get away?

MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Come to think of it, I don't know how many people watch such a parade. I don't know what the numbers were when ESPN Game Day came to Bozeman in below zero temperatures for the Brawl of the Wild in 2022, but I read later that it was about the most watched Game Day that year. The Rodeo Team was featured so that was great national exposure. Better than a parade.

Bummer. But understandable in the area of the country. Not used to dealing with cold and snow. Watching the Kansas City Houston Texans game in the middle deck he’s mostly empty. Looks like it’s in the 20s

Maybe they can participate in the Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade someday. New York would be a fun trip….for a few days anyway.

Or the Rose bowl parade. Something that they can plan for that has nice weather and is in a good location where they don’t have to worry about politics.
