UT Martin v UNH
I thought since this is who we play maybe we should do a separate thread.
Drops are the name of the game on both sides so far.

UNH looks terrible. 9 yards of offense in the 1st quarter.

This game is tough to watch. Not great play and announcers sound like they are falling asleep.
Monte eats corn the long way.

UT Martin players will definitely be throwing out dollar bill celebrations in us. I said it in the other thread, both these teams are slow and don’t play that physical. UNH can’t tackle at all.

And that kicking game. Oh my.
The punter on UTM isn't too bad. Taco won't have much opportunity to return punts. High and good hang time.
The number of plays run by each team is a really big discrepancy. We probably play UTM

When you're a lot smaller than the guy reaching back and stiff arming you, there isn't much else to do in the way of tackling.

Quick eye test for the linemen of both teams is Pillsbury dough boy. There are a few exceptions.

That tackle just looks like that's the likely outcome.BleedingBLue wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 1:00 pmWhen you're a lot smaller than the guy reaching back and stiff arming you, there isn't much else to do in the way of tackling.

Definitely. The NFL is trying to get it out of the game. We'll see how long until that gets to college.lutecat wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 1:04 pmThat tackle just looks like that's the likely outcome.BleedingBLue wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 1:00 pmWhen you're a lot smaller than the guy reaching back and stiff arming you, there isn't much else to do in the way of tackling.

The crowd looks to be under 1000.

I don't think Martin looks too bad up front, both sides of the ball. Good size. Dominating the LOS.

Tacklers feet went forward, wrapped runners legs, planted and pulled him back with tacklers weight falling on back of legs. Same tackle that happened with Davis vs Griz. Not illegal but should be banned, continues to cause injuries.BleedingBLue wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 1:00 pmWhen you're a lot smaller than the guy reaching back and stiff arming you, there isn't much else to do in the way of tackling.

Re: UT Martin v UNH
If UNH comes back, Cats run all over them. Up middle could be tough vs UTM, but seem susceptible on edge, UNH qb can't run. UTM dbs seem pretty good.
