They've had a strong Lady Griz pipeline for decades but the football side leaned heavily Bobcat until Mike Kramer told Lance Spencer he was too small for FCS football. Whoops.

Being from Malta, I can tell you right now the one of the biggest mistake Kramer ever made was to tell Lance Spencer he was too skinny and they didn’t see him panning out. Travesty, because that was a huge bobcat family. His dad is actually the one that started the Twinkie deal at Missoula. That is a fact.
