Instead of starting a new travel thread I figured I would just drop this here.
The missoula football team will be traveling to Bozeman Friday with a stop in Butte most likely to eat at the Metals bar, then continue on to Bozeman.
Once they arrive they will do their walkthrough as usual in the afternoon/ early evening, then....Travel back to Butte where they will spend the night.
Saturday they will travel back over the 2 passes to be at the stadium in the morning. Now in years past Beavis would have his team stay in Livingston or Big Sky, as he despises any and everything Bozeman related. This to me seems like a terrible plan. It has risk involved. Sometimes you have to wonder just who in missoula is running things and making decisions. SMH
I love it. So petty and dumb.
Wonder if he ever spent a dime in Bozeman while his daughters went to school here.....

Not sure they could find a hotel in Bozeman/Belgrade, but this seems like a bunch of Monkeying around.

Is doing a Friday walkthrough in Bobcat stadium worth driving to Bozeman and back to Butte? Seems like they could just use Naranche or Bob Green Field and save a 2 trips over Butte pass. It's not like they aren't going to warm up on Bobcat Stadium before the game to get a feel for the field conditions.
Here's hoping for some terrible weather on Friday night/Saturday morning I guess.
Eastwood, did not make it. Ball out! Recovered, by Montana State!! The Bobcats hold!!! The Bobcats hold!!!

I'm seeing 60% chance of snow on Saturday. Could make travel a bit sketchy over the passes that morning. Bobby's an idiot.

Bobby and company knew the date of this game well over a year ago and could've reserved any place in Bozeman or Belgrade if he had wanted to.
This is just typical foolish mindless mind games played by Bobby. Somewhere around 160 extra miles on a bus for his players all in the name of giving the middle finger to MSU and Bozeman. Sometimes Bobby ends up with egg on his face from his stupid mind games, he always comes off looking like an idiot.

Hauck actually likes Bozeman better than Missoula and he didn't balk at his daughters going to MSU because he doesn't like the academic side of UM or UM's politics.

Good point. I do not have confirmation yet on the Friday walkthrough, that is speculation on my end.
They are spending Friday night in Butte.
Beavis can certaunly be a petty guy.
I do hope thet have no problems Saturday. Think of the mayhem and confusion if a semi jackknives or some other calamity closes the passes for a time Saturday morning causing a delay in the game......

He's probably praying for bad weather, so he can forfeit and not have to suffer the humiliation that he's about to receive.

Having to forfeit because he thought staying 70+ miles away over 2 mountain passes in Montana in November because he throws a hissy fit if they stay in town is more embarrassing than anything the Cats can do to them on Saturday

Probably do a walkthrough at tech, they don't need to go to Bozeman on Friday, they been there before and know how small the locker room is

Hell, they've known the exact date, time, and location of this game for at least five years, probably ten. I don't buy the "couldn't find a place" BS.

Bobby’s teams usually stay in Livingston. They dont stay in Bozeman due to distractions. That makes sense to me. Now staying in butte is a head scratcher. Maybe they just want to be like Tommy.

That sounds more stupid than Stetson landing at BZN and bussing to Helena to stay in hotel for 2 hours and then bus back due to airplane problems.

Maybe their "well supported" program can't afford Bozeman hotel prices? All the $$$ went into the practice bubble maybe?

I personally think Bobby is genuinely a funny guy. He plays a persona for the team and fans. He's not all bad. I actually respect that he puts the overall team above any stars.

Two of my favorite "puts the overall team above any stars" stories as told to me by Griz players and fans are:
1. The debacle with their legacy #37 jersey a couple of years ago.
2. The multiple examples of playing of some kid named Robbie when there were clearly better players available at times.
