Man, PSU bussed to Sac. Nearly 600 miles and 9 hours on the bus. Nice to get the win though.

Tarleton was moving up the ranking and dropped a game to middle of the pack Eastern Kentucky. Big Sky will get at least 4 teams into the playoffs.

NAU is 5-4 and their last three games are against CP, UNC, and EWU at home. If they win out they'll be the fifth team out of the Big Sky.

Maybe. 8-4 with no ranked wins isn't exactly a shoe in for the playoffs. With some help they definitely could be though. NC Central losing and not being the front runner for the MEAC champ may hurt some bubble teams as well.

Sam Herder knows a hell of a lot more than I do and he had NAU as his #27 team going into this week. I suspect that if NAU wins out enough teams ahead of them will lose a game or two that they'd make it into the Top 24. But we will see! They definitely would be playing on the road the first weekend.

Oh my. I'm simultaneously amused by this and also happy that MSU wins regularly enough to not need to post anything similar.

Need to make sure that Sac State doesn't use this as motivation for next week's game against the Cats. Put the foot down on the gas pedal early and never let off...

It's "shoo in". The only reason I know this is because I spelled it wrong for years and recently had somebody correct me on it too. That's what I love about this board. Entertaining AND educational, lol.

Oooops you forgot the hyphen! It’s shoo-in with the hyphen. It comes from horse racing terminology, see below:

“Why is it called a shoo-in?
A shoo-in is a guaranteed winner. This noun phrase first appeared in the 1930s in the context of horse racing. When there was a predetermined winner in a horse race, jockeys would hold their horses and shoo the winner in. Shoo means to drive something away while you yell, "Shoo!" — like the way you might shoo flies.”

Just having fun…..

It's pretty impressive how the Cats were able to stop the PSU QB. I know it's one game at a time, but I sure hope they can stop Larison like that too.

*7-4. They have a non counter with Lincoln in game one. Felt like they needed to beat the gris to seriously be in the conversation. Need a ton of help in the bubble to get in.

Ah yes, good point. I don't think they'd have much of a chance at 7-4 with no ranked wins.

If they finish 8-4 in the BSC they will make it into the 24 somewhere.
