Looks like a full barn in Moscow. That fanbase sure is fickle, but they showed up tonight.
Regional rivalry game, they'll always pack the place when Eastern comes to town.
Only 72 miles apart. Second closest in BSC next to Davis and SAC.
So Idaho has come around to the idea that EWU is their rival and not Washington State and Boise State?

Eastern defense is getting gashed now. TD Idaho.

Haven't checked the weights and measures, but EWU looks pretty light on both sides. A lot of speed and quickness. They like to take shots on the quarterback as we've seen in the past. Gotta protect Tommy next week. Also it looks like their starting quarterback has not been playing in the 4th quarter-which would be a big loss for them. He's pretty slippery.

I thought the same thing about their d-line.

38-28 final Idaho wins. Eastern fights, but their defensive front will be suspect against the Cats rushing attack.

New Mexico 450 yards for 6 points. SMH
4 turnovers compared to none for CSU. Tough to win a game with that discrepancy.

Seattle to Billings to Missoula to Bozeman to Portland to Billings

What a ride

And a punt returned on them for a TD too. Defense played decent.

Maybe I’m crazy but I think NDSU, SDSU, and USD are all similar. Very good defense and a solid offense. I think the cats are better than all 3.

I am biased too, but I thought the same thing watching the game last night. The Cat’s offense is really the difference maker.

I think the UCD game will tell us what we need to know. If we had them in Bozeman I think we would run over them but being on the road is going to make that game more difficult. I’m still not sold on UCD being that good as they have had some questionable close ones. This and the brawl will determine if we are the dudes or if we are going to have to earn it the hard way.

Well, I think Wilson will play at Davis. So, that’s what I think of them. :)

The great (and sometimes heartbreaking) thing about football is that there will always be one more game you need to win, one more game you need to go out and prove you're the best until there's only one team left standing with the trophy in Frisco. But if you haven't seen enough yet to prove to you that MSU is a National Championship caliber team, I'm not sure what more you could possibly need to see.

Idaho keeps banging their drum that they were so beaten up when they played the Cats, down to their fourth string quarterback. That doesn't explain how the Bobcats were able to hang 360 rushing yards on them without the Cats starting center and first string running back. I also seem to recall the Cats missing a few players on defense.

I agree with the Idaho fans, they definitely could have lost to MSU 31-14 instead of 38-7 had they come into that game healthy. But there was a 0% chance MSU was losing that night.

Defensive struggle in the Dakota marker game last weekend, and again this weekend with USD-SDSU. Both were an offensive snoozefest. I like the Cats offensive playbook against any Dakota team right now, between the tackles or outside zone is effective, and using both will spread out a defense which opens up the field for Tommy to either pass or run.

I agree. All three teams are solid, but the Cats are the best team in the country.

We undoubtedly have the skill and coaches but as we know from last season, the national championship level teams always find a way to win. We did it at UNM in week 0 but since then we have dominated early. Maybe we are just that good but I’d love to see us battle through one to show how mentally sound we can be.

MO St has a chance to do the funniest thing. Although they aren't eligible for the playoffs, they still play both DSUs in the final two weeks. Perhaps a perfect chef's kiss as they leave the MVFC.

I think it's past time for the narrative about MSU to shift from "they haven't played anyone" to "they're kicking everyone's asses". National championship teams don't usually need to find ways to win close games because they almost always decisively defeat teams they're clearly better than. And MSU has been doing it over and over again this year after the UNM game. No trap games, no let downs, no nail biters, just beat who you're better than and move on to the next opponent. From what I've seen so far, I think MSU will beat UC Davis by two or three scores even on the road.

Naaaahhh! If we can manage to stay composed enough to win a tight game, then the next step will be beating a team while smoking cigarettes and drinking Fresca at halftime. Because, I don't know, isn't that what all the great teams do? Heck, Kenny Stabler used to down a 12-pack before every game during the Raiders hey-day just to make it a challenge.
