24 teams make playoffs. We have played some. Idaho will be in. New Mexico would beat most of the bottom teams in FCS playoffs. Maine has beat 2 ranked teams. The Cats have just made teams look bad bu shutting them down early and being efficient on offense.

I do think the 2024 Cats are very legit! I also think our strength of schedule is unfortunate.

The Idaho defense was plenty healthy. A defense that was top 10 before we met them. Offensively they were missing Layne and maybe one OL. Even if Layne played, we still smash them. It's ok that we acknowledge Idaho is a good team that we smoked!

My main point is it was a loss. Lot of FCS over FBS wins over the years where FCS team ended up not that good. Oregon dominated Statistically bit scoreboard was close. They ran for barely over 100 yards threw for quite a bit. I think they were working on things with new QB and could have ran as needed. NDSU secondary could not cover CO WRs. CO wasn't prepared for the physicality and Miller played really well, but I never felt like NDSU would win that game. So overall I think Idaho had best showing then also beat a bad WY team

On another note, I love reading the game day thread! It’s absolutely the best way to get a sense of the game flow for those who could not watch the game! I’ve always felt that way, but this Fall it’s a must read particularly when I can’t get eyes on! Great job Cats… keep up the posts!

SDSU beat UIW to give them their only ranked win thus far

Watching the SDSU/NDSU game, they're still bigger stronger and faster than we are...especially with our injuries. We're good, but they seem on another level still.

Interesting, I came out of it with the exact opposite opinion after watching MSU steamroll Idaho and PSU the last two weeks. The 2023 Bobcats took both NDSU and SDSU down to the final play and to my eye the 2024 team is signficantly better right now in all three phases than that team was at this point in the season.
