Come on man. In what world is Idaho not a playoff deserving team? They've been playing with their 2 or 3 at QB since the Oregon game. Are they world beaters? No, but they're better than at least 110 other FCS teams. Good to know! So SOS doesn’t matter and hasn’t mattered in the past several years of our run in the playoffs? However, I personally don’t think the cats have played a playoff deserving team this year. Regardless of playing an easy schedule I still think we our a top 2-3 team. Let’s get more mercyhurst on the schedule and let’s roll!

SOS will matter if MSU drops a game and finishes 11-1. Not if they're 12-0 and the only undefeated team in the field.catzz wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2024 9:16 pmMSU01 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2024 8:49 pmThe Cats only got screwed once in 2022 and that had nothing to do with SOS. 24 teams make playoffs. We have played some. Idaho will be in. New Mexico would beat most of the bottom teams in FCS playoffs. Maine has beat 2 ranked teams. The Cats have just made teams look bad bu shutting them down early and being efficient on offense.catzz wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2024 9:16 pmMSU01 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2024 8:49 pmThe Cats only got screwed once in 2022 and that had nothing to do with SOS. I agree! Just pointing out the stigma, and half reality. We haven’t played anyone good. I also don’t think Idaho was that decent when we played them! They were pretty banged up.
I do think the 2024 Cats are very legit! I also think our strength of schedule is unfortunate.

They both lost their FBS game. I guess I don't give credit for that. Tough game but you lost. Idaho has had a brutal schedule but they have lost games. I give NDSU credit for their loss to CU. That was a close game that could have been won. SDSU gets no credit for not being competitive against OSU. Did they play them closer or was the box score closer? I've heard conflicting opinions there. Re: The most unofficial Bobcat gameday thread - Portland State
My main point is it was a loss. Lot of FCS over FBS wins over the years where FCS team ended up not that good. Oregon dominated Statistically bit scoreboard was close. They ran for barely over 100 yards threw for quite a bit. I think they were working on things with new QB and could have ran as needed. NDSU secondary could not cover CO WRs. CO wasn't prepared for the physicality and Miller played really well, but I never felt like NDSU would win that game. So overall I think Idaho had best showing then also beat a bad WY teamcoloradocat wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2024 10:24 pmDid they play them closer or was the box score closer? Great landing from a long flight to see the Bobcats rose up and dominated a team they should! This team is legit and rolling!!! Time to heal up and reload for the final stretch run!
On another note, I love reading the game day thread! It’s absolutely the best way to get a sense of the game flow for those who could not watch the game! I’ve always felt that way, but this Fall it’s a must read particularly when I can’t get eyes on! Great job Cats… keep up the posts!

Probably mentioned, but Daily looked as good as Vigen advertised him to be. He’s really progressed since the start of the season.

He really looked the part. Long and fast.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2024 1:14 amProbably mentioned, but Daily looked as good as Vigen advertised him to be. He’s really progressed since the start of the season.
What MSU did to Chachere was nothing short of amazing.

SDSU beat UIW to give them their only ranked win thus farBelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2024 10:08 pmNDSU has played Colorado, North Dakota, and SDSU.tetoncat wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2024 10:05 pmSo 1 team?catzz wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2024 8:44 pmEach other?tetoncat wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2024 8:42 pmThen who have the DSUs played that are decent.catzz wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2024 8:38 pmDid you read my posts? I’m 100% not short changing this team. I’m cocked and locked for Frisco! Bought plane tickets today. The first team D is lights out statically wise. Offense is clicking and Tommy is doing the things we have wanted in previous years. I’m simply pointing out… We haven’t played anyone good. I think Idaho was mid level when we played them. I think UC Davis will be the same outcome. Sac we blow out… Eastern Washington should be an another opportunity for the 3rd stingers! I simply don’t think we have played anyone decent team and don’t think we will until round 2 of the playoffs. It’s ok to except we are good, and also acknowledge we haven’t played anyone good.BleedingBLue wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2024 8:19 pmEither way, SOS doesn't mean crap. Its made up and changes constantly. Just pointing out the back ground noise about our strength of schedule. It isn’t good thus far. Keep winning, and I expect we will, it won’t make a difference. Hope your rooms and tickets for Frisco are in order! Mine are.coloradocat wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2024 7:39 pm
When we play a good team with a couple guys out it counts against us but when we lose starters almost every week going back to fall camp that just gets ignored. All we can do is keep winning.
Um… No, Massey doesn’t have the cats at #25.
SDSU has played Oklahoma State, and NDSU.

Watching the SDSU/NDSU game, they're still bigger stronger and faster than we are...especially with our injuries. We're good, but they seem on another level still.Prodigal Cat wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2024 6:01 amSDSU beat UIW to give them their only ranked win thus farBelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2024 10:08 pmNDSU has played Colorado, North Dakota, and SDSU.tetoncat wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2024 10:05 pmSo 1 team?catzz wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2024 8:44 pmEach other?tetoncat wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2024 8:42 pmThen who have the DSUs played that are decent.catzz wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2024 8:38 pmDid you read my posts? Interesting, I came out of it with the exact opposite opinion after watching MSU steamroll Idaho and PSU the last two weeks. The 2023 Bobcats took both NDSU and SDSU down to the final play and to my eye the 2024 team is signficantly better right now in all three phases than that team was at this point in the season.luckyirishguy25 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2024 7:40 amWatching the SDSU/NDSU game, they're still bigger stronger and faster than we are...especially with our injuries.
