We’re as good as SDSU, better then NDSU, and then there’s a large gap between the next closest teams.

The Dakota Marker is next Saturday in Fargo, I think NDSU will take that oneBelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Sun Oct 13, 2024 5:30 pmWe’re as good as SDSU, better then NDSU, and then there’s a large gap between the next closest teams.

Re: How good are we?
I agree with BB that SDSU and MSU are the two best teams right now. NDSU is right there but isn't as solid. Three of next four games for SDSU are at NDSU, USD (Home) and at UND. Bison don't play anyone after SDSU until at USD last game of the season. USD is at SDSU and at UND and vs NDSU three of last four games of the season and if they're 6-1 (PSU game was cancelled, so they only play 11) going into that, it'll be that much more interesting. Lotsa football left to be played in the MVFC.cats2506 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 14, 2024 8:25 amThe Dakota Marker is next Saturday in Fargo, I think NDSU will take that oneBelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Sun Oct 13, 2024 5:30 pmWe’re as good as SDSU, better then NDSU, and then there’s a large gap between the next closest teams.
MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

SDSU is having problems getting their offense rolling, I think the NDSU defense is going to give them problems.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 14, 2024 9:08 amI agree with BB that SDSU and MSU are the two best teams right now. Wilson and the rest of the 1’s could have beat Idaho. We are as good as our defense staying healthy.

I agree, I think NDSU is going to win that game. I also think that either UND, USD or Mo State are still good for a win against one of those two.cats2506 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 14, 2024 9:19 amSDSU is having problems getting their offense rolling, I think the NDSU defense is going to give them problems.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 14, 2024 9:08 amI agree with BB that SDSU and MSU are the two best teams right now. Re: How good are we?
That only reinforces that the poll is based on how good teams were in past seasons, not their in-season performance. That’s not how polls should work, and yet, here we are.
griz fans; keeping it classy and gracious in winning since ... well, never.

I think something we’re going to see is that the drop off from Julius Davis to Scottre is basically non-existent, but the drop off from Davis to Jones is much larger. Not a knock on Jones, he’s a big play guy, but both Davis and Humphrey can and will run through people and break tackles. Jones just isn’t there yet.

Jones will run right by them, after Davis and Humphry beat them up for 2 quartersBelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Mon Oct 14, 2024 1:04 pmI think something we’re going to see is that the drop off from Julius Davis to Scottre is basically non-existent, but the drop off from Davis to Jones is much larger.
