Transitioning this thread a little bit.
What do people think will be the keys to winning this game?
Being in the stands to start the 3rd quarter.

Biggest key. Screw the other 55 minutes of the game.

I think one of the things that gets lost in last years kicking woes was that Idaho absolutely dominated time of possession against us last year. They beat us 42-18 in time of possession. They were also 3/4 on 4th down to keep some of those drives going.
I think, if we can get more possessions and get our defense off the field, we will be fine. But if Idaho is able to grind it out on offense and keep Tommy and crew off the field, then we may be in trouble.
They took chances on some 4th downs. Stopping them would have flipped field a couple times. Cats seemed to be determined to run and made poor choices on RPO. Best drives were designed pass plays and runs. While Cats still use RPO, ball is given way more if run is chosen. have passed more to TE and backs out of backfield. Cats made way to many mistakes and it was still a close game.

Idaho loves trickery. We need to be assignment sound of d. Look at the Oregon game, that games a blowout if Idaho doesn’t have success on some trick plays.

I am actually not as worried about this matchup as I was when we played Idaho State. I was in the kibbie dome for the Albany game. Idaho really didn't impress me. I think the skill players we saw in Pocatello were better than what we'll see Saturday. Idaho has a lot of big bodies that can play and their #2 tall QB can throw the field but I think the cats are better up front on both sides of the ball. The only worry I have is that Coach Eck will out game plan us. But I don't think they will out athlete us or run our defense ragged.
Cats 31
Vandals 24

The Vandals come close, but still can't keep us under 31 points.
MSU - 31
Idaho - 27
I've become more confident:
MSU - 31
Idaho - 21

Statistically, that game was an absolute blowout.

Exactly… they played ACU close, UCD, and NAU. I really don’t think they stand a chance. I think this is going to be the loudest Bobcat Stadium will be outside of the brawl since maybe SDSU game. I expect a new attendance record and it is going to be LOUD.

Agreed. It will be on par with NDSU, SDSU, and the Brawl.

Yep- Oregon had twice as many yards and time of possession.
But Idaho made plays when they needed them and kept it close. Hell, it was 17-14 with 9:45 left in the game.

This. DL is their strength, offense is not.

Do the Spuds get to fly to Bozeman, my map app says it is 451 miles, one mile over the number of miles required to fly? If they bus they might as well stay in Butte.
