SONOFA$&%*$(*&. I literally meant to put $$ down last night but figured I'd just do it tody because since the UNM game, Those betting lines have not moved at all from initial opening. Crap. I figured the rest of the betting world would quickly figure out what I, and a bunch of others pretty much said in that the 38.5 wasn't nearly enough. Who knows though, I guess this could end up being one of those surprise deals where they do keep it closer than 38.5 and I'll look back and see that sometimes things work out for the best! I doubt it though.
Cats win by 39, ouch! This kind of thing is why I don't bet except a few bets for fun if I'm in Vegas.
The line moved from -38.5 to -49.5 almost overnight, which means somebody had to place a huge bet on the Bobcats to cover at -38.5 to move a line that much.

Whoever it was that placed the bet had to have been having a heart attack in the 4th quarter, but they won.

That's what I was saying at the end of the 4th when Mercyhurst was driving and it was at 39 that this could end up on bad beats.

I don't bet those huge spread for this reason. However I would error on the side of the Cats not covering these. Unlike the coach over the hill who goes for 2 and on 4th down against non scholarship Morehead, Vigen tries his damndest to keep the score lower and end the game when the blowout is on.

I think in betting on football, you get the spread at the time you place your bet. So if someone bets the farm after you have placed your bet your spread stays the same. Unlike betting on the ponies, where everyone's odds change up until the gates open for the race. What I don't understand is why you can't bet win place and show on Nascar.

Cats over ISU by 13.5 points - opening line.
Griz over EWU by 13.5 points - opening line.
Money starting to flow on MSU and UM, Now the spreads have moved to 16.5 points for UM and 19.5 for the Cats.

Idaho State +19.5 is intriguing to me for a $20 steak money bet.

MSU still wins by 13 IMO.

Loved the TD to keep my parlay alive. Now just need EW to keep it relatively close and Idaho to do their thing.

I’m assuming you’re 2/2 right now. Really hope Davis finds a way to ruin it for you.

Cats opened up AGAIN as 38.5 point favorites. Yowza. Griz 13.5. Both of those surprised me again, but not enough to bet on them either way I don't think. Actually might put money down on the Griz to cover that spread at home, I mean their D sucked at EWU, but I'm thinking they beat the Weebs by more than that.

I personally think football is too tough to bet. There are just not enough games in a season to smooth out the variance. As far as this game goes, I could see MSU covering if they can keep UNC from scoring, which will probably be difficult.

Once again, the opening Vegas line was insanely close, even with a huge spread. It's uncanny. Don't get me wrong, sonetimes they're way off but sometimes dead on. The line was 38.5, Cats won by 38.

and the fizz lost by 6 :)...I wonder how far the will rise after an overtime loss...I think that usually gives them a boost in the polls.

Has anybody seen the line on this game yet? Hasn't shown up yet on MT Sports Bet, which is about the only one I ever look at. I'm guessing they'll put the Cats as around 4.5 point favorites.... but I could be way off.

Sports Bet MT came out with the initial lines.
Bobcats are 5.5 pt favorites and over is 53.5.

gris are 12.5 pt favorites and the over is 63.5.

Seems like over 63.5 in the gris game is a reasonable bet.

Damm, I missed it by one point! lol. I agree on the over for that Griz game.....

5.5 points is easy money for the Cats if I was a gambler.
