I know the game was a blow out. I know Mercyhurst was overmatched. I tell you what though, for a small school with an enrollment of 2700 people and having just moved up to FCS, Mercyhurst certainly didn’t embarrass themselves out there today. They played hard and didn’t give up. I saw some real talent on that team. I have a lot of respect for every one of those players and their coaches too.
i wonder if they move up this week.
Yep, +2 spots.
Cats, -2 spots.
But, hey, it was a 'Blowout.'

You're ridiculous. SDSU stayed at #1 despite beating DII Augustana 27-3 last week. NDSU stayed at #2 despite winning a game against an ok SoCon team.

'Blowout' was a term used in this thread. I didn't invent it. The rankings are Sagarin's, not mine, and current. Look 'em up. Use those fingers on the internet to look up data and others opinions, instead of just exercising that middle finger. (CENSORED

). This is what I am referring to, just to be clear.
ISU is no Mercyhurst or Morehead. What I have been saying, to deaf ears evidently, is playing horrible FCS teams is no better than playing DII teams. Sooner or later, Conference time comes around, and time to prove the polls wrong, or your critics right. Six days and counting.

Playing a bad FCS team is quite literally better than playing a DII team in multiple ways. If you're referring to Sagarin, sure the Cats drop, and who cares? Nobody is using Sagarin rankings for anything that matters.
You're either a bitter, jilted Cats fan for whatever reason, or just not a Cats fan. You also don't seem to know anything about the realities of scheduling at the DI level. Did you forget SFA who is a middle of the road FCS team canceled last minute? A DI win is better than no win at all, as I've said before. You could also use your own fingers to find information on what the playoff committee uses as their criteria for bids.
What's the point of coming onto the board and bitching the second you get on, especially for a team that's 4-0 with an FBS win?

"Cat4lyf" became "Justwinbaby" when Housewright got his DUI charge. This is definitely someone else.

Definitely.
Facts are such a bitch. Deal with it.
I deny being, or have anything to do with Cat4lyfe. Did he deal in facts, too? Aw!
'What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.' Famous quote. Google it.
SFA screwed the Cats by dumping the game. Costello got what he could. That's not in dispute. The level of competition has not challenged this team. Strenghth of Schedule #252(of 263). That may well come back at them in Pocatello(Strength of Schedule #95).

Actually, Cat4Lyf wrote a lot of ridiculous stuff, that's why you are being compared.
Anyway, how would you have developed a better schedule then? You haven't told us how you would have done that. Remember, these schedules are worked up many years in advance. For example, the Oregon game next season was scheduled way back in April 2020, over five years before the game will be played. How would the Cats know how their strength of schedule would compare to another Big Sky school if those non-conference schedules were developed before many of the players on the team have played a single down and before the conference schedules were set?
Idaho State played a big money game with Oregon State this season because they need the cash to survive as a program. Idaho State played a Div 2 team to lock up an early win and get most of their players some game time. Idaho State played a better program in the University of North Dakota and were beaten pretty easily and they played a similarly talented program to theirs in Southern Utah and got a victory. You know, that sounds a lot like next years MSU schedule. MSU plays a money game with Oregon, a similarly talented team in SDSU, a play down game in Mercyhurst, (although that was schedule due to SFA canceling), and another less talented team in San Diego. What would you change next year to get the MSU football team ready to play Eastern Washington in their first conference game? What teams would you schedule in non-conference instead to ready the team to play Eastern and why?

I already stated Costello did what he could. What he ended up with is what we see today. Don't deflect.

You also said it would be better to have a bye week instead of playing Mercyhurst. You like facts... the fact is you are wrong.

I just…who cares about Sagarin ratings after 4 games?
We all know we’ve played some weak teams. We’ve won, won convincingly, and look good. The Sagarin, or Massey, or anything else doesn’t determine how good a team is. It’s just something for a bunch of nerds to talk about.
