Go to Pocatello!

Post by BelgradeBobcat » Sun Sep 22, 2024 4:16 pm

Next game at Idaho State. ISU can be really tough in that dome, and they look like they are pretty good this year. This game is far from a gimmie. I'd like as many Bobcat fans who are available to make the trip down to Pocatello. Having gone down there many times for games, I can vouch for the fact that it is an easy drive, and if you have a couple of drivers, you can easily go down for the game and drive back up in the same day-no problem. Should be some nice fall colors in the canyon, or if you want to drive a lot faster, go via Whitehall and Dillon and zip down I-15. Road games are a ton of fun and this is the easiest to get to both in driving and getting tickets-though I expect them to have a pretty big crowd this year.

I have been to Pocatello a few times for Bobcat games. I actually enjoying watching games in Holt Arena. As @BelgradeBobcat says, it's an easy drive, and with the weather being good right now, the roads will be great. I can't make this one, as my work schedule doesn't allow for it. Bums me out...

We've got 4 people going. Just bought our tickets on Thursday and there were quite a few tickets left. Crowd might be decent, but I'd bet a good amount of it will be Cats fans.

4 of us are going. I'm pretty sure they have a bus going but weird thing is they are leaving at 11.

Rest In peace dad.

I’ll be there and I believe there will be 8 adults and a few kids as well. I’ve got family there so it should be a good time! Excited to be at the Friday night event and check out the tailgates as well.

I'm hoping to go with some folks from work. Where do the Bobcat fans sit?

Me too. And they don’t ever treat MSU very well.

Fargodome: enough said
Walk up Skydome: it’s never ever easy in Flag
The IDGAF Kibbie Dome: ugh.
Holt Arena: probably had the most success their but we’ve lost too many times to terrible Bengal teams.

Hating the griz since 02.

I’ll be going through there NEXT week. ISU is a simple trip for anyone living west of Livingston.

I'll be there! First trip to Pocatello was in 2000 during the 0-11 season and haven't missed a game there since. I still maintain that MSU got screwed over in 2002 when Junior Adams was ruled out of bounds in the end zone. It has been six years since MSU last played there, wow!

We're bringing 3 wearing in Bobcat attire and sitting in the Bengal section, haha! My mom lives in Pocatello, is a huge Bengals fan, and got us tickets. Last time I was there I had good fun trash talking a few Bengal fans, and screaming my head off. We lost that year, so, if by some chance that is the result this year, I may never go watch the Cats in Pokey again. But I'm thinking Cats will win, though it could be closer than desired. GO BOBCATS!!! 💙💛🏈

You won't be totally alone, I will be in there somewhere. A friend from Idaho son plays for the Bengals. There are 6 or 8 of us coming over from Twin Falls so we have "family" tickets. One Bobcat (me), a griz (from Butte, actually knows Tommy's mom) and the rest are Bengals or adopted Bengals.

Cool!! Maybe we'll be standing up and cheering in the same section 😂

I’m debating on making the trip and haven’t been to a game in Pocataello before. Any good hotels walking distance to the stadium? Or other suggestions for places to stay down there?

There are multiple hotels right across the interstate from the stadium, I've stayed at the Hampton Inn previously and it was good. Guessing it's about a mile walk to get to the stadium from over there although it's not a direct shot and you'd have to wind around through the neighborhood nearby.

Big parking lot at the dome. Last time I was there they didn't charge to tailgate.

There will be 4 of us going. Last time we played in Pokey we played at Weber the week before. We went to Ogden, continued on I-15 to Vegas. Then hit Pocatello on the way home. Made a nice trip.

Road tripped from Bozo with three college buddies in my 67 Pontiac Executive in 1978. Great memory. Cats kicked butt of course.

WALKING DISTANCE? WALKING IN THAT PART OF TOWN??? Taking the chance of getting mugged by Mormon Missionaries. It's a ten minute drive from the North End of town. Area of about 80,000. This is not Chicago. Sheesh!
Motels are on the second Southbound Exit. ISU is the third exit, about six blocks from Holt.
