Since Taki U isn't on the major injury list, I am less worried. He could barely walk on his own when he came off the field Saturday night.
Here he is after the game, ice on his knee but walking on his own. I tell you what, Taki is one of the most pleasant surprises, so far, this season. Honestly, since Taki didn't play a lot of high school ball, I thought he'd be major project that would take years to mature into a good player. Boy, was I wrong.

If we count our starting kicker, by my count we're still down FIVE offensive players that were all slated to start the first game and two more off the 2 deep? That would be Kautzman, Davis, Reed, Mastel, and Perkins... but they're all working their way back. Also return specialist Johnson. Did I miss anyone? Defensively, all I know is Polidore has been out but working back.

Trimble on offense. Johnson, Steel, Grebe on defense are the ones I know.

Marquis is healthy, I think.

Having two bye weeks will be huge this year!
Bye weeks are inherently unfair and should be done away with...with one exception: Every team in the conference has the same bye week(s). If they are going to do it, they should just state that the second week in October and the first week of November will be bye weeks for everyone. But no, as it is, some teams get help and some others don't. It's not fair.

Just play the damn game with what you have from September through November and let the chips fall where they may.

Agreed. Did not think he would be ready until his 3rd year in the program. Great sign for the future. However, we sure could use the player walking next to him to get healthy and back on the field!

I'm with you guys here. Signed at 167# and listed at safety, I thought there was no way he saw the field until maybe a junior. This year he "bulked" up to 175, again thought there was a very slim chance he saw the field. Big mistake by me. He is a heat-seeking missile when he rallies to the ball. Big fan!

I didn’t know anything about Grebe getting banged up, but is there any word on Jon Johnson? Powdrell looked shaky last week, so getting Johnson back would be helpful

I assume we're referring to Bryce Grebe here, who was hurt in the Utah Tech game and didn't play against Maine.

When do we expect Polidore to be back? What’s the timeline for others?

Perkins
JT Reed
Mastel
Davis

I can't find it but someone tweeted from a Vigen press conference that JT Reed and Mastel will be back at practice this week. I'm not sure on the others
