If Tommy sustained an injury in a blowout game that he had no business being in anymore... are we allowed to question Vigen then? After last weeks gameday thread with people biting each other's heads off questioning Vigen... looking for some ground rules.
Maybe wait for some information before you make up hypotheticals to justify to your self getting mad at Vigen?
Was making a joke and being sarcastic based off how last week went, but thanks for helping me make my point!
You must've been a DB in your past life. That was one hell of a backpedal...
Pretty sure Cat22 is gris-ht8 from last week.
I’m still here. Too busy in bozo to ruffle your feathers today.

Tommy is limping pretty damn hard. We sure he's good?
My question too? Hunched over and it's cramps?
I’m just talking out my ass, however, if he did have an extreme cramp due to heat, he may also been flat out not feeling well and very well could of been cramping up in his abdomen as well. I know many moons ago this happened to me, it sucked, bad cramp followed by body just sayin f it I’m done.
An updates on Tommy as of now?
Cramps according to Coach Vigen in the post game interview.

100% it's cramps.
It’s possible that the entire band cramped and even affected his lower back. I’ve had that…and it’s not fun. And, it doesn’t go away over night. Recovery is key. Get him an IV on the plane, stretch out in first class 8) and drink and eat bananas!
They fly on Allegiant, I have some bad news about the potential of Tommy stretching out in first class...
Who exactly do you think is flying the plane?
Hopefully not Tommy Mellott, but I hear Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is a decent pilot.

Vigen said he didn't think it would be a long term injury, but more evaluation is needed to know for sure.

Good news is JT Reed is close and Cedric is playing well at LT.

O line is deep. Less concerned about Moore. Hope he gets healthy soon but don’t think it’s the end of the world

Good news for the MSU defense:

New Mexico averaged 6.6 yards per pass and 5.4 yards per rush against MSU. They're averaging 6.5 yards per pass and 5.4 yards per rush against #21 Arizona.

Yeah, but Arizona is giving up way more points than the MSU defense did. 39 vs 17 :D

Defense didn't get any sacks or turnovers...but held them to no first downs until deep into sub time. They literally couldn't do anything on offense. As far as the Bobcat offense, I wanted to see us be a lot more explosive. We only took one shot that was just slightly overthrown. To my untrained eye it looked like they loaded the box and we ran right at them and still got 5 yards most every time. We purposely set up that field goal which we finally made. 1 out of 3 attempts with one being blocked. Geez we had all winter to figure that out and it looks worse than ever.

Anyway-weird game. Probably a dozen or more injury timeouts with both teams-more from them I think. It was hot and no breeze. Football is not a hot weather sport! Got a lot of guys in the game. The 2's and 3's gave up that score and then settled in pretty good. All hands on deck on the offensive line.

Great turn out for Bobcat fans. Not so much for the Trailblazers, but it is Labor Day weekend. Their students showed up for a half anyway.

MSU 1st-team defense allowed 41 yards, 1.64 yards per play, and zero first downs. No sacks but a lot of pressure which led to a lot of incompletiond or dump offs that amounted to losses or small gains. Very dominant effort.

As mentioned above- very weird game.

No sacks….. but the defense dominated!!!

Offense just didn’t seem to be clicking all game…. But still put up big rushing numbers and 34 points.

It was a “bring yer own energy” game, with hardly any fans in the stands (other than cat fans).

Field goal kicking…….. ](*,)

Bad lighting…. There were bats flying around it was so dark, haha.

A timeout every 20 seconds…. The game flow was really weird and dragged on forever.

At the end of the day…. Cats are 2-0. Go cats!

Such a weird, weird, game.

Got a win, that’s all that matters.

New Mexico played well against a good Arizona team, btw.

I’ve never seen a defense embarrass an offense like that. At least I don’t recall anything like it. Watch the UT postgame show. They were at a loss, stunned.

You’re not going to get a lot of sacks or turnovers when you’re on the field so little.

Another slow start for Mellott and passing game. 3-7-0, 14 yards, then 11-14-0, 138, 1 TD
Last week: 4-8-0, 19 yards, then 17-24-8, 186, 2 TDs.

Vigen spoke to that postgame.

Basically, first quarter: 7-15-0, 33 yards, 0 tds. 65.2 rating. Last 3 quarters : 28-38-0, 324, 3. 171.4 rating

Defense was lights out and looked great. I watched a little bit of NM v. AZ, and our defense did a better job against NM than #23 AZ, so impressed by that too.

Looks like the offense is forcing the pass a bit, but it looks like they are trying to work on some things. I’m fairly certain we could win the last 3 non/conference games just handing the ball off to that impressive stable of running backs!

Prior to this game I was at the Twins 15-0 defeat to Toronto, so in comparison to that the 1-3 on field goal attempts didn’t look so bad. However, hope they get that figured out by conference.
