From this photo (bottom left-hand corner), it looks like they also resurfaced, striped, and numbered the fieldhouse lot across Kagy???

Not a problem. Post away!AFCAT wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 10:39 amAsk @stevo if he minds that you post the pics there. I don't do Facebook.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 7:38 amThese two photos are good. You can easily picture the facility in your mind's eye in them. Someone should post them on X and Facebook.AFCAT wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2024 8:24 amStevo did a quick pass over Bobcat Stadium in his SR-71 to get us these pics. Stevo and MSU Toddler are absolutely killing it this weekend. Thanks to both of those guy for the great updates. I'll post all of these pics here and in the parking lot thread.

This really puts into perspective how much has been done in a relatively short time frame. Now we need someone to comment on the old bleachers, oops I guess that's me.

Great photo, I wonder if it's possible to identify the exact year it was taken. It's obviously before the artificial turf was added in 2008. The end zone markings appear to match what they used in '03 and '05 and '07 according to a few YouTube highlight videos I found.

Re: Indoor facility
Looking at the Bobcat logo on the backside of the west stands, it appears to be the cat head that used prior to the update that was made in 2004...MSU01 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2024 11:37 amGreat photo, I wonder if it's possible to identify the exact year it was taken. I'm thinking maybe 2005, the colors of the advertising board panels on either side of the Bobcat bench in the Cat/Griz highlight video from that year appear to match exactly with the photo.

2005 is a good bet. The Cat/griz game was played in Bozeman during odd years pre-Covid. Plus the same picture is on the back of both the 2006 and 2007 media guides.

Years ago it wasn’t the last conference game and was played in October.gtapp wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2024 1:04 pmI changed my original post. I’m thinking 2005 too.RICO CAT wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2024 12:58 pmIma say it’s from the 2006 Cat/griz game, played in Bozeman during even years pre-Covid.

Re: Indoor facility
Forget too nice (there have been some really nice weather Cat/Griz games), that field is entirely too green for a Cat/Griz game. That's definitely a September-early October game. Sidenote--I really miss them playing on real grass, if only we could keep it looking like that in November and December.gtapp wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2024 1:04 pmLooks to nice outside for Cat/griz.RICO CAT wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2024 12:58 pmIma say it’s from the 2006 Cat/griz game, played in Bozeman during even years pre-Covid.

And I remember Lulay being covered in mud after MSU beat um in 05.kmax wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2024 1:11 pmForget too nice (there have been some really nice weather Cat/Griz games), that field is entirely too green for a Cat/Griz game. Re: Indoor facility
If you zoom in the crowd of people in the student tailgates isn't a big mud bath so it has to be pre cat griz. Trees still have yellow leaves too. I'm going homecoming. Back then the only two games we would've filled the endzone seats were cat/griz and homecoming.

Re: Indoor facility
I'll go ahead and guess then that this picture is from Homecoming against Idaho State on 10/1/05. The trees and condition of the field make sense for early October, and what I assume are the visiting fans in the front of the end zone section could well be wearing orange.

I forgot about the temp bleachers they brought in and put in the corner where the old band shell use to be. As I recall they also had a hot tub down there from time to time!
Regarding the game, I am going Oct 18th 2008 against Eastern Washington. ( I see some red down in the visitor section in the endzone)

It definitely isn't 2008, that was the first year the stadium had artificial turf installed.Cats15 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2024 3:38 pmI forgot about the temp bleachers they brought in and put in the corner where the old band shell use to be.
