Surprised to see no landscaping medians.
I'm glad they didn't try that. Makes it harder to plow snow, takes away valuable parking spaces, it's more tripping hazards for drunk tailgaters, and any landscaping would just get trampled. It's looking great!
Yeah, people have already destroyed a lot of the landscaping around the Holland statue area, especially near the front door of the BAC.

Bobcat athletics is a business to the coaches, school leadership, and players. It's time the fans treat Bobcat athletics as a business too.

I’d say it’s a missed opportunity to make it more aesthetically appealing.
I agree, it’s my only gripe with this whole thing.
It’s great to have this upgrade and overall looks so much nicer than before.

But I’d gladly give up 20 parking spots for a handful of landscape islands with trees. Would look so much nicer 20 years down the road with the big trees everywhere.

I agree it would look nice 20 years from now. But right now you'd have to plant a couple hundred pretty mature trees, otherwise they're getting destroyed with all the tailgaters around. And that's a big expense, especially if you want to get water to them. And it really makes snow removal much harder, not to mention getting leaves cleaned up from those trees 20 years from now. I have no disagreement that it would look better, but I think they have to look at utility over aesthetics at some point.

hate to say it, but they should have made the parking spots a little wider. MSU fans aren't Subaru drivers. F-150's and RAMS need more room.

If it was funded by athletics specifically for tailgating, they probably would have.

What, your 3/4 ton won’t fit!? Well I guess you’ll have to buy two lots to fit it ;-)

I think we should take a step back and realize that MSU cant make everyone happy on all its projects. This is still a major upgrade for Bobcat Football as well as the students who park here.

I sure hope the people complaining about no landscaping in the parking area aren’t the same people complaining about fans not being back in their seats after halftime.

And the paving isn't really for football fans either, right? Isn't this primarily a student lot that athletics uses 6-9 times a year? That's why it wasn't funded by athletics.

Now, the university has proven for decades that they don't really car about student parking so they easily could have sacrificed some spaces for wider parking but we'll just have to take what we can get.

Eastwood, did not make it. Ball out! Recovered, by Montana State!! The Bobcats hold!!! The Bobcats hold!!!

I mean we could always put trees in the median. Put the tailgaters in charge of protecting the ones by their tailgate.

Has being back in your seats before halftime is over ever been discussed on this board? 😉

I agree. To put landscape in would take away spots for tailgates, cost more, and complicate the plowing of snow. This looks great and is a massive change to the look of the whole complex. This is second to none when finished!

The green they are trying to get doesn’t grow on trees.

Silly to be complaining about trees. Trees that kids would be swinging from or some drunk and break the branches.

Stevo did a quick pass over Bobcat Stadium in his SR-71 to get us these pics. The DoD is none the wiser, so don't tell anyone.

Stevo and MSU Toddler are absolutely killing it this weekend. Thanks to both of those guy for the great updates. I'll post all of these pics here and in the parking lot thread.

These two photos are good. You can easily picture the facility in your mind's eye in them. Someone should post them on X and Facebook.

Its remarkable how just the paving of the lots has changed the feel of the whole place. And thats just from photos. I cant wait to see it in person.

Ask @stevo if he minds that you post the pics there. I don't do Facebook.
