They’re so embarrassed about the bubble that they’ve decided to just have an outdoor IPF. First of its kind!

Thanks @stevo!

Already pouring footings for the building, that's great! I'm sure steel will be going up before we know it. This thing is going to be massive. And the paved parking lots are really going to make a difference on the look of the whole facility.
I can't tell for sure, but it looks like some of the steel is sitting just South of the big dig.
They delivered some steel the other day early in the morning. Saw it on a semi on my way to work.

Rest In peace dad.

I like this shot because it shows the proximity (industrial workflow) improvement of having the IAC on the stadium side of Kagy Blvd. Takes the hassle of crossing Kagy out of the picture (no pun intended) and shows the ability of using the westside grandstand concourse to move to and from the BAC. I never liked the tunnel or bridge proposal simply because walking in cleats up and down stairs can be cumbersome. Any time you can keep everything on one level it's a plus.

It looks like the footings are already in place for the steel to go up. Am I seeing that right?

It looks like only a few of the footings are poured. They have a lot left. But, its coming along.

I was really itching to see some progress on the improvements in and around the Stadium. Thanks a ton for taking the time to get the pictures and post the pictures. I really appreciate it.

Looks like some of the steel is already on site. But, there is a lot more concrete work to do.

Yes, these photos are phenomenal and much, much better than the ones I take. It's probably asking way too much, but if you can do this every week or two, that would be even better than having a fixed webcam. These photos from various angles give a much better look at what's going on.

I think we need to step it up a bit and get a tethered aerostat performing around the clock surveillance on the site and providing constant infrared and visual imagery updates.

Did they put a detention system in? I don't recall seeing anything in previous pictures.

The irrigation pond has been there for a long time. Sime Construction reworked it, so the IDPF would fit.

More trouble for the Jizzly IPF. From EGRiz: "The turf field was laid down before the subsurface was fully dried and it was not properly draining. The turf has been totally removed and they are working with heavy equipment to replace the subsurface. They are moving lots of dirt. After it is properly dry, the turf field will again be put in place. Is this the definition of a Cluster-F??"

So, I was wrong. It’s an OIPB (outdoor indoor practice bubble) with a sand playing surface (that will drain well). It’ll look nice with some fake palm trees and cabanas. The recruits must be impressed. Such great artistic flair! 🌈

This is absolutely hilarious. With that said, if this kind of "accident" happened to me on lets say a house I was having built, I'd be furious!!!

i'll ask the question on everyone's mind. Was it planned to do this by an MSU engineer or a DumB graduate.

Trying to make sense out of this. I don't understand why they had to replace the subsurface or what needs to drain. Why was the subsurface wet? And if it was wet, why couldn't they just remove the turf and let it dry instead of replacing it? Was it the wrong type of subsurface dirt/material?

This came from egris. High chance none of its true.
