Everyone should watch this

Post by lutecat » Sat May 11, 2024 10:06 pm

I know it's not football but there's alot of folks that don't peruse the track and field forum.

This kid is a freshman! Well spoken. I had fun listening to him. One F bomb on accident. Lol

But this guy helped to bring it home today. First time since 2005. And beat the griz to do so.

Fun interview to listen to.

He said it in the interview, but I think the whole meet turned on that 5k. NAU scored a boatload of points, as expected, but Ben Perrin and Matthew Richtman going 2-3 in that race took huge points away from NAU. Even if they went 3-4 that's a six-point swing in their favor and there's no way MSU could've caught them. The guy that finished 4th was leading at the bell, then his teammate kicked hard, then Perrin got him, then Richtman got him at the end.

NAU had a better 4x400 time coming in than MSU, but just barely. Weber had the best time and was only .6 seconds slower than that yesterday, but still better than NAU's best time. UM improved by a couple seconds, as did UNCU. But honestly they don't even run that race at every meet, or teams sit it out. MSU ran a combo of guys they've never used before. Anything could have happened, but I did expect NAU to put up a better fight than that.

He's a good looking dude. Future movie star? Crazy how a kid like that from Australia finds Bozeman, Montana.

Happens in High School track as well. Especially in the 4x400. You might not run your best dudes until you get to state.
