Courtin' Disaster Documentary Synopsis
The Hillbilly Bears were a team who attempted to play football near the hills of Missoula and lazed around to the sound of the banjo. Hauck Rugg, the muttering coach of the team, spent most of his time asleep, awaking only to whine about the mud when beaten again by the Bobcats. O’Day Rugg, the Athletic Director, smoked a pipe (contents unspecified) and was the financial brains of the outfit. Assistant coaches Hudson Rugg and Axman Rugg were constantly wreaking havoc and avoiding responsibility.
Since your still young enough to enjoy cartoons, ShortWilly, I thought you might have a keen interest in this one.

Is there something inferred about Lex here?

Implied, not inferred. A writer or speaker cannot infer anything.
And are ads allowed on this site now? If so, I got a few I'd like to post.

Inference is the activity performed by a
reader or interpreter in drawing conclusions that are not explicit in what is said. I think it's safe to say that my response involved reading or interpreting.
I understand your attempt at trying to correct infer and imply (which are often confused with each other), but the use of the term "inferred" wasn't wrong.

I figured I should do something so that this thread has at least SOME value to those unfortunate enough to open it. So, here's a pic:
