Re: Sprinkle to Washington
I get the whole desire to move up thing, and it said in the one article I read that his dad played there and Sprinkle grew up in Washington, so that's a going back home reason I suppose. But for a resume and consistency sake isn't it good to stay one place for awhile? Build your team, recruit, succeed, etc.

Re: Sprinkle to Washington
Just look over the hill at Travis Decuire. A few years ago he was being mentioned for PAC 12 jobs, and I think he turned down Oregon State and was waiting for a better opening. Since then the Grizzlies haven’t done much and the big offers aren’t rolling in. You need to strike while the iron is hot and take that life changing money.nanacat wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 11:16 amI get the whole desire to move up thing, and it said in the one article I read that his dad played there and Sprinkle grew up in Washington, so that's a going back home reason I suppose. Oh, just search twitter a bit. They are pretty POd. I just think it's funny considering Utah State bought Sprinkle from MSU by offering more money and now Utah State fans are mad that UW bought Sprinkle from Utah State by offering more money. Hilarious but I know how they feel.

Best Aggie fan comment so far.

I mean what's the point of working on your resume? To get a great job, right? He got a great job, now he can try to prove something in one of the best conferences in the country. And if he can't--if this year was a fluke--at the very least he has set himself up financially for life.nanacat wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 11:16 amI get the whole desire to move up thing, and it said in the one article I read that his dad played there and Sprinkle grew up in Washington, so that's a going back home reason I suppose. I think it’s funny and I will right up until Utah decides that our AD really knows how to hire and tries for Logie. ( I can’t imagine that happening, but wouldn’t that really piss you off)AFCAT wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 11:32 amOh, just search twitter a bit. They are pretty POd. Re: Sprinkle to Washington
If he "fails" at Washington he could very likely get fired and get a better job than Utah State because he'd be coming from a power conference. So even if it doesn't work out it still works out.kennethnoisewater wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 11:44 amI mean what's the point of working on your resume? To get a great job, right? Re: Sprinkle to Washington
That isn't the impression I have seen there. It was pretty much expected. If anything it is the fact they have lost so many coaches in short order. USU fans are used to losing coaches, this is nothing new.AFCAT wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 11:32 amOh, just search twitter a bit. They are pretty POd. Re: Sprinkle to Washington
I've muted most of the fan feedback I've found but I posted one post in the other Sprinkle thread. They aren't used to losing coaches that won championships, especially when they weren't expected to win anything this season. I totally get why they are disappointed. Obviously, MSU fans were in their shoes just last year.NavyBlue wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 11:47 amThat isn't the impression I have seen there. It was pretty much expected. Re: Sprinkle to Washington
The $2.9 Million buyout due to Utah State is pretty amazing as well. Can you imagine getting anywhere near that kind of cash in return for a coach leaving MSU? That would set up the b-ball program for years. I know, the buyout is based on his salary.MSU Toddler wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 12:18 pmThat all transpired in approximately 12 months too. That rumor is highly unlikely. Why would Oregon State offer DeCuire and then retain Wayne Tinkle?MinnesotaBobcat wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 11:25 amJust look over the hill at Travis Decuire.
