Pretty much all USU as they run away with it in OT. Nice hard fought win for Dan the Man.

Yup. Would have been the best team in msu history, maybe one of the best in big sky history…. Brown, ford, osobor, battle, the new transfers that were set to come in….. just ridiculous.

Ha! I could not be happier today. Yes the team that could have been in place would have been ridiculous….
But honestly, last nights win was one of the coolest things I have seen. And it would not have been as special beating them with an all time great team (in theory), versus beating them in the current scenario.

Re: Danny & The Aggies
Similar to last year's wins. Got lead, slowed game at end but really didn't get good shots. Osobar was gassed and couldn't hit FT to seal it. Last year they usually had it in good FT shooters hands at end.
Compare this to Cats who in tourney games kept attacking mid shot clock and got some good looks to ice ga.es.

The Mountain West Conference is having a crazy tournament. Seeds 2, 3, and 4 all went down yesterday in upsets. Sets up Danny and MSU-South pretty nicely to win a championship.

Re: Danny & The Aggies
Danny will have plenty of motivational material to use after #5 seeded San Diego State was made a 4.5 point favorite to win their semifinal today. CSU and UNM will also both be tough outs as both are bubble teams who will be highly motivated to play their way into the tournament.

There is a lot of speculation about Danny Sprinkle on the Oklahoma State boards. The Big 12 is the best basketball conference in the nation. Oklahoma State has a proud tradition but has really struggled since the Eddie Sutton years.

Re: Danny & The Aggies
I think Danny has done well enough this year that he's going to be mentioned as a potential candidate for pretty much any major conference job west of the Mississippi River. Looks like their last coach was making around $3 million per year so the compensation would definitely be a step up.

And holy crap is he bad. Unbelievably bad at reffing. How does that man have a job? Blown at least 5 calls so far that I've seen.

F utah state. I dislike every pro and college team in that state. I don't blame slim for taking the job. But, I'm still pissed he did.

Re: Danny & The Aggies
If he gets the Washington job or something at a similar level as many are speculating, he'll have gone from $200K in salary at MSU to probably $3-4 million in a single calendar year. Not a bad deal!

Re: Danny & The Aggies
I understand some people feel that way, but I have no problem with it. Sucks it happened, but ultimately it raises the profile of MSU as well, as they mention where he was the coach before his new, higher profile gig and he is pretty active retweeting the Bobcats successes. We are in a good place now and I will always be grateful to how he resurrected the program here.

Don't love quoting myself, but let's up that count to at least 7 blown calls now.

Utah State goes down. Must suck for them to lose in the conference tournament, we here at MSU are becoming increasingly unfamiliar with that.

Re: Danny & The Aggies
Ya, but not nearly as bad since they’ll still probably have somewhere between a 5-7 seed in the dance.

So is he the Angel Hernandez of college basketball? Or is A.H. the Eric Curry of MLB?

Re: Danny & The Aggies
Apt comparison, except Curry is the equivalent of the home plate umpire every game. Can't blow that many calls a game as a third base ump. At least Angel only impacts games poorly once or twice every 4 games.
