Re: Brawl 3.0: MSU vs that other team
I have NEVER seen a team ANYWHERE that fought, scratched and clawed like this team did. This team will go down in Bobcat history.
Deservedly so.

Talk about a special run for the Bobcats. You could definitely tell who had been there before. When winning time came the Cats took the game over and the grizzlies imploded. Thanks to all the coaches and players for an Amazing season!!

Kyle Hansen on the Big Sky post game show looks really dejected.

At one point, there was a 32 point swing in the second half. From down 11 to up 21. I don’t know if that or dropping 66 on Weber in the 2nd half is crazier. Both got me in disbelief

Scrappy, tough-minded, junkyard dogs that hustle. That's this season's version of the Bobcats! Such a satisfying win, after two brutal losses to the Gris in the regular season.BLACKnBLUEnGOLD wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2024 11:53 pmI've been preaching patience all season, but I definitely didn't expect his much this soon.
Now go win that first four game in Dayton, and they'll be able to say they are the only Bobcat MBB team to date to ever win an NCAA tournament game.
Talk about putting it all together at the right time! Whoo, how am I gonna sleep tonight,?!
Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

Damn, that second half might get DeCuire fired.
Great showing from the Cats. Robert Ford III is Jesus himself

Impressive comeback and win over rival UM, for Big Sky Championship no less!
Congrats to Coach Logie and entire Bobcat team (and coaches). It took ALL to get this done and grab the Championship AGAIN for 3rd straight year!
Impressive performance by players on the court for MSU. All. Ford and Olmsted stood out. Patterson was clutch. Turner was clutch. Walker came through big! Lecholat played another very well rounded game.
A GREAT day to be a Bobcat!

I turned to my brother with about 4 minutes left and said "is it just me or do the Griz look like they've already given up?"MinnesotaBobcat wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2024 12:03 amTalk about a special run for the Bobcats. Yeah, they just went ice cold at the worst possible time. Tenacious Bobcat defense had quite a bit to do with it, but still...technoCat wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2024 12:24 amI turned to my brother with about 4 minutes left and said "is it just me or do the Griz look like they've already given up?"MinnesotaBobcat wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2024 12:03 amTalk about a special run for the Bobcats. Anyone else find it a very odd game to watch? Just seemed frenetic and helter skelter most of the time, yet it was very much a half court, grinder type of a game.

Re: Brawl 3.0: MSU vs that other team
It was odd. The only thing I can figure is that they were either really over-confident and didn't know how to respond to the run the Cats had, or they just folded under the pressure because the previous two games against the Cats had been so easy. Five seniors as starters, two prior wins, one of which was a blow-out and they couldn't match the energy & tenacity of the Cats on both ends of the court tonight.grizzh8r wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2024 12:30 amYeah, they just went ice cold at the worst possible time. What was also odd was that I didn't have an anxiety attack during this game like the last two, even when we were down by 12. I guess that I just assumed that the Cats would get beat, so I was just happy they had made it to the championship. It makes the winning like a mountain of gravy on my expectations. I love gravy.

Madness happens!
Congrats to Coach Logie and this Bobcat Team! What a testimony to heads down and trusting the process. This team hung in there, got better, got coached up and it paid off with a 3rd straight Big Sky Tourney Championship! Bonus that it came against the veteran, solidly favored griz.
That lock down D in the 2nd half was impressive to watch and they just took it to them on the offensive end. Can't say enough about the coaching job Logie and staff did this year and the character of this group of players! No one saw this coming! Always fun to hear Montana State Bobcats on Selection Sunday!
Go Cats!
