I think Utah State is way overrated. They are playing in a cupcake conference.
The Mountain West is a very strong basketball conference right now.
Well we will find out come March Madness. It will be interesting.
San Diego State played in the NCAA championship game last season. “Cupcake conference” what are you talking about?
19-2 Danny and the Aggies play at 16-5 San Diego State Saturday on national TV.
1:30pm on Fox.
Seattle to Billings to Missoula to Bozeman to Portland to Billings
What a ride

I'm hoping Utah State wins out and ends up as a #2 seed in the NCAA tournament, then MSU wins the Big Sky Tournament for the third year in a row and gets matched up with them as a #15 in Round 1. If Lloyd Christmas can keep hope alive on a one in a million chance, then so can I!

SDSU shooting 47% from 3, that's gonna be hard to overcome.

Watching the game…. I forgot that sprinkle also took our best assistant coach.
Might as well just call them the Utah State Bobcats. Haha
And yes, apparently the big sky is not the only place you find terrible refs. Yikes.

Refs just let them (SDSU) play! They play physical, and that's how they are officiating the game...only problem with that is, they are not letting USU play physical. Lopsided officiating.
No wonder SDSU hasn't lost a Mountain West game at home for so long!
Osobar looked like he was ready to take a nap...or he just wasn't "into it". Worst game I've seen him play. Looked lazy.

Remember, there are well over 300 teams. I think 87th is in the top 25%

Excellent point. Actually they have moved up to 81 now. EWU is 112 and MSU is 287 out of 362 teams.

72nd now but they lost bad at home to Nevada tonight. For reference, Duke is 70th yet has 3 less wins and 1 more loss. MWC could get 5 teams in the NCAAs the way it is now on Lunardi’s bracket. ACC is only at 4 in right now.

The ACC has really fallen by the wayside compared to its former glory in basketball

All will be well for the ACC next year when they add Stanford and Cal to the league...well, at least on the women's basketball side of things.

Between Jim Boeheim, Coach K, and Roy Williams retiring, that's going to set them back a bit.
BUT, I also wonder if they haven't done as well in the transfer portal as the Big XII and the SEC have. I have nothing to back this up, but I get the impression they've been a little snooty about embracing a new way of doing things. 247 sports has a ranking of how teams have done in the portal, and the best ACC team has been Syracuse, at #11. Georgia Tech is 19, UNC is 20. Now don't get me wrong, being at the top of that list doesn't mean much either. WVU and Villanova are up there near the top and they're not doing great. It's still pretty amazing the drop that they've had as a conference though, whatever the reason.
