I respectfully disagree. Downtown Brown was money again and the UNLV kid used his hip. But a little "sprinkling" of success is doing USU a world of good after their last administration. And she is a Bobcat on top of it...BelgradeBobcat wrote: ↑Sat Jan 13, 2024 4:44 pmHere's the last play. See the "foul" against Osobor at the free throw line.![]()
A minute or so before that the ball was knocked out of bounds. The replay clearly shows it going off a USU player. The refs looked at it for about 5 minutes. The announcers were wondering why it wasn't quick reversal. Then they gave the ball to USU. It was like they pointed the wrong direction but didn't want to look silly by changing. Brown hit a three on that possession too! Danny got a gift today. HIs team with our players is amazing. Dang, what might have been-even without Raequan this team would have been loaded. Ugh. I just can't get over it. I hope Danny and Great make a ton of money and send a donation or two to poor 'ol MSU someday.

Don't see what the big deal is with the foul. The UNLV player gave him a forearm shiver to the chest. Or is this hockey they are playing now?BelgradeBobcat wrote: ↑Sat Jan 13, 2024 4:44 pmHere's the last play. See the "foul" against Osobor at the free throw line.![]()

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

Well reading the keyboard warriors across the internet-it's 10 to 1 that it wasn't a foul. I don't it was. The out of bounds call a minute before was more egregious.

I think Osobor was hamming it up a bit to try and influence the zebras.BelgradeBobcat wrote: ↑Sat Jan 13, 2024 9:57 pmWell reading the keyboard warriors across the internet-it's 10 to 1 that it wasn't a foul. I don't it was. The out of bounds call a minute before was more egregious.

He definitely did, and I salute him for it. With that game situation why not? Great is a savvy, crafty player. It was fun reading the Twitter comments-from non USU fans who were lamenting about the corrupt and incompetent Mountain West officials. They sound a lot like us Big Sky fans. Which makes sense because most if not all the Mountain West refs have or continue to do Big Sky games as well. They all come from the same pool I'm pretty sure. Remember Great sometimes had a hard time staying on the floor at MSU because of foul trouble. I think the higher level the league the more they "let them play". Anyway, he doesn't seem to get in foul trouble at USU.Cledus wrote: ↑Sun Jan 14, 2024 9:21 amI think Osobor was hamming it up a bit to try and influence the zebras.BelgradeBobcat wrote: ↑Sat Jan 13, 2024 9:57 pmWell reading the keyboard warriors across the internet-it's 10 to 1 that it wasn't a foul. I've been told by a former coach that in his experience this is often how it goes. Said it's very rare in his opinion that when a coach gets a new gig that he actively recruits players to follow him to his new destination. Said often times it's the exact opposite. But players are going to do what they seem is best for them, and if they like a coach (which everyone loves Danny) and want to follow him what is he going to do? Say no?
I'm so grateful for what Danny did here, and I want to see him and his dudes just crush it at USU.![]()

Re: Danny
The thing I wonder on this play is if the whole thing was drawn up by Sprinkle hoping that exactly this would happen. Great is coached to hang back and then storm in after the shot goes up, initiate contact with an opposing player, and fall down to try and draw the call. Pretty brilliant play design if so, great way to basically get two possessions out of one possession!

Re: Danny
I saw an interview with the UNLV coach after and he was livid. About all he said was Ï saw all of it." Then he put his players off limits to the media which he normally does not do.

To look back you know Kansas State was a very strong team in the NCAAs last year and we gave them a pretty darn good game.
So no surprise Utah State is doing well. They just need Raquan Battle to round out the squad.

Re: Danny
Can't believe Dalton Knecht didn't make the list.
While registering my vehicles the assessor stated "I have had both Cat and Griz students and alums work for me and the Griz end up working under the direction of the Cats."
