Like thousands of other Cat fans I was looking forward to the Frisco trip to celebrate with like minded family and friends, for the entertainment of watching the Cats play in the championship game, and to show our support of the players and the program. Well now that we're not heading to Frisco I got to thinking about what to do with the money I budgeted and was prepared to spend on going.
I'm going to donate to the IPF an amount just over half of what I had budgeted for Frisco. The remainder is seed money for next year when the Cats do make it to Frisco. I encourage anyone who was planning or even just thinking about going to at least consider doing something similar. Whether you're able to give a larger % of what your trip would've cost you or smaller amount, it would be money well invested into the athletic programs at MSU and particularly the football and track programs.
Sure giving to the IPF doesn't give the same instant celebratory good time that the trip to Frisco would but it does give the donor the satisfaction of knowing they've helped make MSU a more attractive place for every recruit looking at colleges. There's no doubt that the IPF will attract some athletes that would've passed up MSU without the IPF, and the athletes here will have more and better training sessions because of it. Let's do our part now and get that money in there to get that facility up ASAP.

Good sales point to help convince the other check writer in the family.
Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14, but 34-11 will do.

Already donated to the IPF a few weeks ago, but I’ll do more in the new year. I just bought some pricey tickets to watch Singleton play in Denver at the end of the month. I don’t believe I’ve ever watched a former Bobcat player play live in the pros before, so I had to shell out some cash this time to make that dream happen. It’s funny, I lived in the Seattle area about 20 years ago and the Seahawks had a promotion where you could get 4 tickets to the game, 4 sodas, and 4 hotdogs for $100 total. I’m paying three times that for just one of my tickets to see the Broncos. I guess that’s why I love college ball more than the pros.

Bobcat athletics is a business to the coaches, school leadership, and players. It's time the fans treat Bobcat athletics as a business too.

Yeah this is our 3rd and probably last contribution to the IPF. I just know that if most of the fans that were planning on going to Frisco would give a modest percentage of what they would've spent the goal would be met easily.AFCAT wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2023 11:15 amAlready donated to the IPF a few weeks ago, but I’ll do more in the new year. Heck, if most of the fans just donated $200, that would be more than enough to put them over the top. Not going to happen though, it’s up to the people who always donate to this stuff to continue to donate and, hopefully, find some whales to pony up the big bucks.Joe Bobcat wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2023 11:32 amYeah this is our 3rd and probably last contribution to the IPF. Well last I heard we were about 2.5 mil shy of the 25 million dollar price tag. So let’s pony up and get this done. If every one who was at the game so let’s 20,000 fans gave $100 we are damn near there. Give what you can Cat fans. Not every fan obviously is a BN junky, so spread the word to family, friends and colleagues. $20 is $20 they don’t have now.
