Don't know if I like the idea of SUU in the Sky just yet.

I think we lost that window--we need to look for the next best now (not that I don't agree, though).

Hmmm ... the 5th most prestigious football program (out of 5), and even lower within the state academically, in Utah? I think I'd pass as well.

More flagship schools, please. The Dakotas would be excellent.

New rule (well, an update to an old rule of mine): No more schools in the BSC that have directions in their name, unless the direction is a part of the name of the state (the Dakotas made that rule a lot longer than it used to be).

Or median geographical positioning in the state.
Mid-western is a double no.

I say we just add UND when they move up. I don't think we will ever get NDSU or SDSU so let's jump on UND.

The University of South Dakota is looking at moving up also.

And I say if Portland State and Sac State don't want the Dakota's schools in Dump them.

I take it Northern Arizona and Eastern Washington will be grandfathered

The best university in the Dakotas is still available....UND! 8)

I know that the Big Sky is the first conference of choice that UND wants to get into. However, after following NDSU & SDSU's efforts to get in, it is pretty obvious that the schools on the left coast call the shots in regards to expansion. It is about geography and nothing else.

If UM and MSU pushed for a change IT WOULD HAPPEN, the BSC could not afford to lose them.

EXACTLY, all UM and MSU would have to do is "THREATEN" to leave the league and join the WAC and they would get thier way. THe Dakota's would be in in no time.

 :goodpost: Time for the Montana (State) boys to put aside their differences and pull rank. ;)

If SUU is admitted to the Sky BOTH Montana and Montana State should bolt to the WAC. SUU's academics are similar to Northern or Western not UM or MSU.

I can't see anyway we can afford to move up to the WAC right now. I wold love to do it, but financially, I don't see it happening at MSU. But I will hope.

Thats a laugh, That train left the station already with NDSU. The susies and their half assed president would hardly qualify in 3 place. You think Montana wants to play a school that lost to Mayville? Check back into reality already won't you bin. Besides I think the last thing the BSC needs is a school that's at odds with the NCAA regarding "other issues"

Talk about problems, I wouldn't hold my breath there either. They are having big $$ problems in DII. Don't know how they are going to make the jump to DI? If they do its going to be a rough ride for them financially. Just don't see it happening.
