Herder/Hero says the SOS's will be Cats-5, Idaho-9, SS-21, and UM 31. Furman - 61. SDS is 17 (probably because they can't play themselves).

I don't know where Herder/Hero is getting its SOS. The SOS's vary by source. I'm guessing Herder's SOS is discounting Ferris for UM.

The same Ferris State that isn’t even a seeded team in the D2 playoffs?
Yes, the Ferris team that is the two-time defending D2 champion and lost only 1 game this season other than to UM.
Ferris would be 5th at best in the BSC. Theyre a good D2 but that’s why those wins don’t count. UM, MSU, Idaho, and Sac would all beat them. I bet they’d stumble at least once to another team too.
What wins don't count?
Yeah, yeah, yeah…I know the committee discusses them but it’s still a benchmark to get to 7 D1 wins. If the Griz played Ferris now they’d roll them. UM wasn’t playing well early. Ferris is not as tough as a lot of UM fans want them to be. They would not be top tier in the BSC.
I'm not sure what you know and don't know, from what you have said above. D2 wins count in overall schedule. There's not a "benchmark" of 7 D1 wins. Only getting 6 D1 wins "may" place a team in jeopardy from being selected. The number of D1 wins "may" be considered. You seemed to say that D2 wins don't count. That statement is wrong.
Don’t count is the wrong wording but it doesn’t matter. My point is Ferris is not as good as many UM fans want them to be. I’d put them on par with NAU. At that point the Griz were playing to those teams level. They’ve righted the ship. UM fans should quit acting like that was a good win. It was a win against a decent D2 team that would be mid tier BSC. And anyone with a brain knows that a D2 win at home in WA Griz will never be weighted as heavily as if they’d have played a mid tier FCS team. No matter how much you try to convince us.

PS…I really don’t care if you know what I do or don’t know. You seem obsessed with trying to convince Cat fans of how good UM is. They might be. We’ll find out Saturday. I’d advise you to chill and quit worrying about it so much.

1) Ferris isn’t seeded.

2) If we’re going to weigh the recent past so high, that doesn’t bode well for your Grizzlies. 5/6 have gone to MSU. And MSU has done more in the playoffs recently. How sad.

Okay, at least you're off the "don't count" thing. While I doubt that Ferris will even need to be part of any discussion by the committee, it is the committee, not you, who will decide how to weight the Ferris win. Ferris was a good win, just like a win over a mid-tier BS team is a good win. That's been my point all along. Ferris is a better win than the Cat win over Stetson. Stetson is 3-7. Look at how bad its schedule is: https://gohatters.com/sports/football/schedule/2023

Where have I tried to convince Cat fans how good the Griz are? Let's see some quotes, or support for your statement.

You need to look at and learn how D2's are seeded. They are seeded regionally. What is meaningful is where they are ranked. Again, ranked no. 4.

"The DII Football Power 10 Rankings: Week 11

(Note: These are the final Power 10 rankings until after the 2023 DII football national champion is crowned.)

No. 1 Colorado School of Mines| Previous: 1

The Orediggers put up 82 points in another RMAC blowout and now finish the season undefeated. John Matocha needed to throw just 17 passes to throw three more touchdowns to add to his unbelievable career numbers, as six different Orediggers (Matocha being one) scored a rushing touchdown. This team is rolling and gets a well-deserved off week in the first-round.

No. 2 Grand Valley State | Previous: 2

It probably wasn't enough with Harding winning, but Grand Valley State shutout nationally ranked Davenport 38-0. The defense held the Panthers, a team that was vying for a playoff spot, to just 187 total yards. Super Region Three will be tough, but I really think it is the Lakers to lose.

No. 3 Harding | Previous: 3

Harding will disagree that Super Region Three is the Lakers to lose. The Bison posted their fourth shutout of the season, and as with the other three, it wasn't even close, defeating Arkansas Tech 56-0. Cole Keylon even threw a touchdown pass in this one, a rare feat in this rush-heavy attack. Harding is about as good as it gets in DII football this year on both sides of the ball.

No. 4 Ferris State | Previous: 4

The Bulldogs took care of business, and despite being on the outside looking in for the second regional rankings, Ferris State is firmly locked into a playoff spot in my opinion. Not much of an explanation is needed — we know what the Bulldogs are capable of this time of year. P.S. — Want to know how tough Super Region Three is? Look at the last three teams listed in the Power 10... and we aren't even at No. 5 yet.

No. 5 Benedict | Previous: 6

The Tigers win the SIAC with another perfect 11-0 run through the conference. This defense may be even better than last year, tops in scoring defense and just behind Harding for second in total defense. Last year, Benedict came out of the bye and were upset, but this team — and the defense in particular — seem to have learned its lessons and should be ready to make some noise in 2023. "

No. 6 (tied) Pittsburg State, Central Missouri | Previous:7 (tied)

The two are inseparable. They share the MIAA regular season crown this year and both are headed to the postseason. Central Missouri rolled Lincoln (MO), dropping 63 more points. To no one's surprise, Zach Zebrowski threw for more than 300 yards and many, many touchdowns. For Pittsburg State, it was about the defense, which forced seven turnovers in its victory. Something to watch in the playoffs is the health of starting quarterback Chad Dodson Jr., who left the Missouri Western game hurt on the potential game-winning drive and missed this one.

Again, ranked no. 4 in the latest power poll. Here's what one writer says about Ferris St. in his Region: "Team to beat: Ferris State. This is a tricky one, especially when you look at my picks. I typically focus on the team that I believe will win the Super Region here — which is Ferris State's first-round opponent Grand Valley State — but the Bulldogs are in a different atmosphere. The Bulldogs are on a run that is up there as one of the best in the history of DII football. Ferris State has won Super Region Three in five of the past six seasons, and the last four in a row. The one season it missed the national semifinals, the Bulldogs lost the Super Region Three championship by a mere two points. Now, the Bulldogs will have to go on the road and won't have their head coach for the first round, so it is certainly very different this time around. But no matter what seed the Bulldogs are, the two-time defending champions have the largest target on their back in the entire bracket, making them the team everyone wants to beat."

Ferris is matched up against the team that beat them this season. Massey: https://masseyratings.com/cf/ncaa-d2/ratings

Nobody thinks beating the 4th ranked D2 school is very impressive either Jack.

If MSU played the griz out of conference schedule, they'd have 1 more win.
If um played the Cats out of conference schedule, they'd have 1 more loss.
Can we agree on that?

why do these griz trolls equate Stetson with Ferris when comparing schedules?
utah valley = utah valley
Butler non-school pioneer= Stetson non-scholly pioneer. although butler beat Stetson by 10, roughly equal
that leaves Ferris at home vs SDSU on the road. Is it really that hard to see which is more difficult?

Nobody has said it was impressive. My comments have been addressed only at comments from Cats and trolls saying that Ferris wasn't any good and was "only" a D2.

Yes. Can we also agree that UM beat ranked Idaho on the road on Oct. 14, and the Cats lost to Idaho on the road on Oct. 28. And UM lost to NAU on the road on Sept. 23, and the Cats clobbered NAU at home a couple weeks ago. And, UM beat ranked SS at home on Nov. 4 by 34-7, and the Cats beat SS on the road on Oct 21 by 42-30. And the big game between the 2 is being played in Missoula this weekend.

I can sum up everything you wrote in one sentence.

For a DII Ferris is pretty good.

Everything else you wrote is just diarrhea of the keyboard.

And your summary is what I was saying all along about Ferris. Don't know why so many people wanted to fight over that.
