Anyone else hear Gregorak’s comments about how he felt that maybe with the bad week of weather we have had and having to practice outside could have led to the slow start. It gave Idaho an advantage to be able to practice indoors. I have heard the “it makes us tougher” argument far too long. We all know that everyone would prefer to be out of the elements most of the time. Just has to get done in order to make championship run I think. It would be one thing if MSU wasnt’t the only school who didn’t have one but just look around and we are really in the minority without it at this point.

His argument sounded really weird on tv, at least the way I heard it. Something like we were still cold from practicing outdoors all week and we're ready for 70 degrees. Practicing in the cold sucks but unless we have to actually cancel practice it's not a severe disadvantage. It would be great to practice indoors but I don't think it translates to this game.

I disagree. Having practiced outside in bad weather I can tell you for a fact that you just don’t get as much done. It’s fun for awhile but it eventually gets to you. I just think it can limit a team on what they can work on it a lot of ways. Especially when the venue you will be playing in that week is indoors as well. Timing for plays in the cold and snow are going to be slower that week.

I think getting banged up pretty good in the Sac State game, having a short week to practice, and UI having two weeks to get healthy and prepare for us were more factors than anything. Our guys got home from Cali last Sunday morning at 5am, and had to be back on a plane Friday. Between giving the guys a day of rest to recover from the Sac State game, we probably only had 3 days of practice to prep for UI, versus their 2 weeks after having a bye week.

I think it was a massive disadvantage (practicing outdoors last week). I don't see how it couldn't have been. That being said, it wasn't the main reason we lost. We left 10 points on the table-Dowler's drop and the missed FG at the end. At worst we should have had 6 more points (2 made field goals). We've left points on the table in several games (Weber and Sac State) but we were far enough ahead in those.

Oh I’m not saying it was the main reason we lost. I am just saying that I think we are now practicing at a disadvantage to a lot of other teams and that could potentially hold MSU back.

Here's what they sent out to get proposals from Construction Managers. There is a list of what's going into the facility as well as 3 exterior renderings.

Damn that looks nice.

Some things that stuck out were the mentioning of the parking around the stadium being redone in the future, field being 100 yards instead of 120, and also no AC?

It was always planned to be only 100 yards including the endzones.

disappointed at 100, but that seems to be the standard. And no indoor track and spectator space.

Turn it 90 Degrees and expand it to 120 plus indoor track. and 3000 seats.

Just came here to say that.
The renderings look great, I hope it all gets going soon.
But what is that across Kagy? Not huge buildings, but new buildings nonetheless.

So does this mean we have all the money together or are we just close enough that we can get the bid process rolling?

I suspect we have only seed money at this time to get it started. These plans will provide a better gauge of how much fundraising will be needed to make it a reality. We need this !
I like the use of natural light in the renderings.

I think most of the spots along that fence will be lost.
