This won't be popular on here, but if we want another hype song to get the players and students rocking, they gotta play Dance Now by JID, or Hotel Lobby by Quavo and Takeoff

It's not the new run out song. I'm fine with that. There were a couple new songs that play for the first time. Sorry, but they were awful. If your going to play some new music, play some damn Red Dirt County. Cody Jinks, Turnpike Troubadours, Whiskey Myers, just to names a few. We're the State Of Montana Ag School. We have our rodeo team lead our football team out. Don't play some new bubble gum crap, that sounds like Baby Shark.
I like those bands a lot, but nobody is getting hype to those. The general idea with stadium music is they even if you don’t know the lyrics, it’s got a fun/cool beat.
Turn on some Reckless Kelly "Radio" and watch the student section bounce. Tons of others cuts out there.
That song slaps.

This is a fascinating video, do yourselves a favor and watch. If the Cats don't include this song on the run out, then someone needs to be fired.

Wasn’t familiar with them so checked. These are terrible. Not hype songs in any way shape or form.

I was watching ESPN series “the last dance” on Jordan. The Bulls intro with Sirius always gets me pumped. Has any football team ever used it? We could use it for the walkout where they stand in the end zone. Announcers says “2022 Big Sky Conference champions” and “National Champs in 1956, 1976 and 1984” then “Your Montana State Bobcats”

Before they run out onto the field with the horses a new song comes on: “what I’ve done” by Linkin Park. The fast part of the intro would be great for the run across the field.

I can see how somebody would like it personally pre-game, but that’s not stadium music.

Again, stadium music doesn’t necessarily have to be the best music ever, just needs to be fun.

Yeah, it’s a good song. Not all good songs make good stadium songs. The crowd and the players aren’t going to get anything from that.

After reading this and other music threads over the years in which everyone's passionately convinced that THEIR favorite music is the best, I feel like a great fundraising strategy for MSU would be to let anyone who donates $1 million or more to facilities improvements pick the entire music playlist for a football home game. $250K and you can do it for basketball.

Geez man. Some of us are just having fun brainstorming. I dont see a reason why any fan can’t do that. And haven’t you said everyone is entitled to their own opinion? Why not with the music as well?

If all it takes to pick the music is give the team $1 million I'm sure everyone will be lining up to drop off their playlists.

Geez man chill. I see nothing in what MSU01 wrote that indicates he doesn't think everyone is entitled to their music opinion. He merely recognizes that some are very passionate and certain that their music choice is the best, and he had fun brainstorming an idea for anyone to get their music played at a game for a hefty price to a good cause of course. Seems like basic opinion and brainstorming to me.

One of the wealthiest Cat fans I know of has a deep passion for polka music, with waltz coming in a close second. I guess for a cool million we could put up with it for one game but yikes.
On second thought I think we could get pretty good crowd participation with a sing along of In Heaven There Is No Beer. What say you Sweet Caroline haters, should we make that switch? Bethany does this have a chance?

Ha, I was only about 10% serious with the suggestion that this could actually be used as a real fundraising idea. The reactions to it make my seriousness level go up to maybe 15%! I wasn't trying to criticize anyone or say people shouldn't give their opinions, as I've participated in these threads in the past myself.

Yeah I kind of figured you weren't super serious with your fund-raising suggestion, and it was clear to me you weren't trying to shut down others' opinions. My polka loving buddy would never force the football crowd to hear only polka music through a whole game either but for a million bucks he might insist on a couple including that sing along song. I doubt the powers that be would allow it but I'm convinced that it would be a crowd favorite sing along.

I think you may be on to something here. I don't think it should be that much (and yes, i know you were mostly joking) but why not have it be like you get to pick 5 songs to be played during a Bobcat game (or pick a song to replace Sweet Caroline for one game) and make it a silent auction item at the Blue and Gold Gala. I'm sure plenty of people would bid on that  obvious caveat that the song has to meet some sort of family friendly metric
