Personally I love wins like that for the Griz. They struggled to beat a mediocre team, and the win helps keep Bobby there longer. Ideal if you ask me.
i think Ferris gives them all they can handle.
Ferris blows them out if they play like that again.
i have it posted as a gizz loss.

They are all showing this huge hit, that was clearly helmet to helmet. How do they always get away with that stuff. One of the easiest targeting calls I have seen and it appeared they didn’t even review it. (Maybe they did, maybe he was called for)
It wasn't helmet to helmet, that was all shoulder. Literally watching the hit replays as we speak.

If you're going to try and give ****** to the Griz it's getting in a dog fight with a Pioneer school, despite Butler having a good QB it should not have been this close.
I saw it from a different angle and it was his shoulder. Dude got his clock cleaned.

Apparently, this win has earned the Grizzlies an invitation to the PAC-2.

They deserve to be right where they are in the conference ranking. They’ll definitely get better but the fans in Missoula should temper their expectations for the year. Once again had to watch their game on mute. To much d;&k in mouth from the commentary.

eGriz is busy trying to convince each other of how good Butler (#253 of 261 in the Sagarin ratings) is.
Do you stick needles in your own voodoo doll? That's how I view going to that site.

I think Utah Tech will play them fairly tough. According to Sagarin, Utah Tech is like 12 points better than Butler. I understand that you have to take the Sagarin ratings with several large grains of salt, but still. I'm gonna predict the gris win, but not by more than 10-14 points.

The griz suck.
Hypothetical: If they lose to the Cats again this year, then make the playoffs but only win 1 game and are out in the quarters again, would the coach be on the hot seat at that point?

That D-bag Bill Speltz wrote a column last week and said it was an insult that the gris were picked to finish 6th in the BSC pre-season poll, and basically guaranteed that they'll win their first 5 games. I'm gonna love to see what that idiotic homer has to say after Ferris leaves wa-gris with a W next Saturday.

Just a minor correction, but if they win only one playoff game, without a 1st round bye, that would only get them into the round of 16, not the QF. And having talked to some Gris fans, I think he's already on the hot seat.

Same with Massey. I use it because I am comfortable with it.

They, quite a big number, really don't want him gone... They are satisfied.

Honestly I was impressed with the griz win against Utah Tech. I honestly thought they would have trouble.

Same here. I didn't think it would be more than a two score game. They looked much better than they did against Butler. I still think Ferris State will give them all they can handle though.

One thing and its not a big deal but I've even seen Colter make this mistake. Griz did not make the qtrs last year. They were not a seed and played in round 1. They won and got waxed by the Bison in round 2. Bison played Samford in the qtrs, UIW in the semi's. They did make the qtrs the previous season and lost to JMU.

Good point, I missed by a week.

Utah Tech doesn’t have very good QBs. Butler did well cuz they do. Teams with good QBs will give UM trouble.

I alluded to that in an earlier post, that if a team doesn't get a top 8 seed and a bye, and plays in the first round, then one win only gets them to the round of 16, not the QF. Officially the gris have only made it as far as the QF twice, 2019 and 2021, in the 14 years since their last championship game appearance in 2009, and have never advanced to the semis since then. They made the semis in 2011, but that was later vacated. It's been a very long time, almost as many years as "the streak" lasted, since the gris were actually a dominant program. Good luck trying to convince their fans of that though.
